This is such an amazing review. Simple and to the point. I have used Camelbak, and nowadays Polar - not been happy with either. Camelbak’s are difficult to clean, polar isn’t BPA free and starts to stink plastic.
I just wish the ELITE were in 750ml size

What about specialized purist water bottle ?

I have Elite Vico Carbon bottle holders, which are great. I use these with Camelbak Podiums and they fit and work well. I love the Camelbaks, but like the idea of the black Fly 750ml to match the bottle cages - but am concerned that these will scratch too easily. Yes, I am OCD!

Haha you're in the right company then. We are all obsessive at the way our bikes look

can you remove the mudguard from the decathlon bottle and put it on the elite?

nice video, i also wanted to know about leakage, because I also want to leave it inside my bag

There is no locking mechanism on this bottle, so I'd recommend one that comes with an explicit lock like a camelback podium. The bite valve on the elite fly is large and easy to move around. Might be accidentally open. However if it is closed there's no leakage

is it normal if water comes out when pointing down while not squeezing the bottle?

No that's not.ok if your bite valve is locked (down position towards the bottle)

The weight of the bottle is not a pro or con. Losing weight on your body is the only factor here.

I disagree. How much your bike weighs is a combination of the rider, the bije and any accessories on it. While 50g may not be significant but recreational cyclists, competitive cyclists spend much more to get weight gains.
