End of the Evening Rush at Clybourn Junction. Crystal Clear Skies and Straight-On Views

  • Clybourn Junction is the first stop after Chicago for the Metra Union Pacific North and Northwest Lines, and is the location where the former Chicago & Northwestern Harvard Subdivision and Kenosha Subdivision split. Despite the presence of large billboards atop of buildings that block what was once an outstanding view of the downtown Loop skyline, this is still a great spot for railfanning because of the straight-on views to the south of the station, and the fact that the chances of seeing some opposite-direction meets here are pretty high.

    Nice location. The signal bridges add to the photogenic qualities of the place. THANK YOU again for the detailed description attached here. Most youtubers assume everyone is familar with every location. That is very short-sighted.
