Добрый день.Спасибо за реакцию.Эта песня на стихи русской поэтессы Марины Цветаевой,написанные в 1916 году после тяжелой личной драммы.Ночь,бессонница,в доме пусто и невыносимо.Женщина идет как во сне по городу и понимает:есть дерево,есть дома,есть цветок в руке,даже тень есть,а ее нет.Это крик души одинокого,тоскующего человека.Диана и Брендон Стоун сумели гениально донести это.Чтобы понять уникальность вокала Дианы,нужно понимать о чем она поет.Эта девочка проживает,через душу и сердце пропускает тексты произведений.
В исполнении Дианы это произведение певческого искусства . Очень сильное , впечатляющее исполнение , слушая которое создаётся впечатление будто возносишься над суетой и ежедневными проблемами . Всё уходит прочь , и только этот величайший голос , в который погружаешься и время у тебя останавливается. И в очередной раз напишу , что как и у рыбака - время проведённое на рыбалке в зачёт жизни не идёт , так и тут - пока смотришь и слушаешь Диану Анкудинову время твоей жизни останавливается , и продолжается отсчёт только после того как закончишь её слушать.

when you talk about cultural nuances, this is very interesting and important, because common things are what everyone more or less understands and they unite people, but nuances are areas of difference, points of growth and mutual enrichment.
and then you talk about the peculiarities of Diana's voice, and I thought that Diana is one big invitation for us to explore new shades, angles, transitions, even new emotions. Diana both heals me and worries me (in a good way) at the same time. She serves all cultural meals my soul needs.
Her voice is hypnotizing. For me, listening to her sing in her native tongue, seems more rich and intriguing. The way she sculpts the words has more impact.

Эта песня на стихи очень известной русской поэтессы прошлого века, поэтому, возможно, существует и литературный перевод этих стихов. Вероятно, в этом случае переводчику потребовалось бы пожертвовать точным переводом слов и подобрать совсем другие, чтобы воспроизвести чувства автора. Но в данном случае в этом нет необходимости, Диана передает эту эмоцию, а нам просто нужно услышать.

This is from a poem written around 100 years ago, the lyrics are extremely cryptic and would need a team of archeologists and Harrison Ford to decipher them. 😅

@@CophiL65 надо любить русский стих - это и посыл и настроение и философия в одном флаконе. Диана ранее говорила что ночь - её любимое время суток, а у Цветаевой это наиболее выражено и главное, в преподнесении СВОЕЙ ночи и внутреннему состоянию души.А здесь сошлось три в одно, автор, композитор, певец = шедеврально звучит.

Interpretation of Diana and Brandon’s song “In a Huge City”: The great Russian poetess Marina Tsvetaeva gave birth (not “wrote”!) poems with a quality of meaning inseparable from the sound of her words in Russian. It is IMPOSSIBLE to understand the meaning of these poems, or rather, these sounds without perceiving their Russian sound (try translating Kipling, or Byron, or Shakespeare into Russian, and then back into English! Try it!). This is exactly what Diana and Brandon are doing in this song - the correspondence of meaning and sounds. This cannot be explained in words: how to add up the sum of meanings and the sound of speech??!! This can only be heard by the soul. To hear, repeated many times, a combination of melody, words and sounds of instruments, the main one of which is Diana’s voice - the most complex of them all. Hence the advice - reproduce in yourself the images given by Marina (night, wind, black poplar, light from the window, ringing from the tower, “And this is the shadow, but not me”, “Friends, understand that you are dreaming of me”) ...and listen, listen, listen to the voice(s) of Diana singing this... And you will enter the door of This universe - through the beauty paved by Diana and Brandon.

Стихи Марии Цветаевой, а это ещё та поэтесса, свои мысли могла выражать аллегориями - с двойным смыслом, потому что она хотела своими стихами сказать не всегда понятно даже русскому, это только спрашивать саму Цветаеву, но она давно покончила собой, что только подчёркивает её необычность. Но талант её как поэтессы в России признан однозначно. Потому Диана и решила воспользоваться одним из её стихотворений, ибо стихи это всегда круче текста написанного для песни. В стихах больше смысла, но вот понять смысл стихотворения невсегда просто. Вот и эта песня не так проста - стих не так прост чтоб понять весь смысл заложенный в него загадочной души Цветаевой
