Here's A Video Of Fiberglass Supplies To Get When Fiberglassing czcams.com/video/spw6BGPdjbg/video.html
A lot of body shops wouldn't think twice about leaving the rust hidden under the hardtop. That says a lot about your workmanship and character.
You're correct. Thanks for your comment Darryl
My boss asked me why i was watching CZcams at work i said “shit, I’m watching SprayWay” . Nothing can pull me away from your vids man please keep it up and doing what you’re doing, much love.
Thanks Jharad. I really appreciate the support but you might have to wait until you get home because I don't want the boss man on you...👍🏾
Jharad Anderson kinda gay
That’s truth on another level
Bro you inspire me to do my own work to my c10 even if I make some mistakes it'll be all worth it
We all make mistakes KJ...I'm still making them. It's all a learning experience
Man I’m on here getting tips on a DIY project with my 4 year old son. I want to do a full restoration of my C10

That's for sure 👌thank you sprayway

Like the idea of using the spray foam as a backer. Also like the fact that even though you didn't quote for it you went ahead and did an excellent job in fixing the rust spots. Good business principle ... 💯💯💯
I know...a lot of folks wondering why I spent so much time on something that'll be covered up with the vinyl top. I tell them, I'm treating as it was mines. Thanks Marlon
yes marlon , fixed the right way.
I love the idea of using spray foam. Not only will it add sound deadening in addition to backing, but it absorbs moisture as it cures.
Above and beyond! People have no choice but to respect this level of dedication to producing maximal results. Not to mention that he's doing all this, and the new vinyl top is going to cover it up. This guy "Spray Way" got a lot of y'all boys out here looking BAD! And, I bet his prices are more reasonable too! Y'all best be stepping your game up outchea!
Thanks man...I gotta agree with the pricing for sure. I'm doing it out of the love for the trade not to get rich
@@SprayWayCustoms - It's not just a trade for you, it's an ART the way you do it!
I'm one of fans who actually watches the whole video and I appreciate everything you do. The sound goes out around 12:26.

You are one of a kind....most painters would never have done what you did......they would have turned a blind eye....you remind me of my dad a lot.....you go way beyond......great work young man.....you know you shit.
Thanks for the support Vicky
This is exactly the video I've been looking for! 83' olds 98. I believe this is the only video on CZcams that shows how to repair those unfinished seams on these vinyl top cars. Looks hella good!
Glad I could help you. Yes..I don't know why GM didn't finish those seams out on Vinyl top cars...well we really know why, to cut down on labor and cost and the seam would be covered with the top. Thanks for watching
A total pro job as always! Nice to see someone take such pride in his work doing a proper fix on an area that won’t even be seen, that’s dedication and the mark of a true craftsman!! Keep up the good work sir!!
Thanks Chris. I had to fix it
Amazing work. Even tho this is going to be covered by the top you still made sure it was flawless. Videos like this inspire me to start making some of my own. As always thanks for the content it never disappoints👌🏼

Best channel on youtube. I always get mad excited when I see your vid notifications.

Thanks....I think I be equal excited doing them
Some people would’ve just left that the way it was underneath. It was honest of you to fix that to the best of your ability within his budget! Cool to see. Also, I’m learning a lot from you about fiberglass. Thanks a lot!
No problem and thank you
Best DIY video. Not much vehicle DIY projects go into detail like you do. Respect.

ALL THAT WORK YOU PUT IN BROTHER AND YOU JUST MAKE IT LOOK EASY. I SALUTE YOU BRO KEEP UP THE AWESOME WORK...
Thanks man...sometimes I just get lost on one project trying to get it perfect to my ability
I don't think anyone can argue that is not a solid repair especially after all of the extensive surface prep you went through. Most fiberglass patch ups are quick and sloppy corner cutting affairs. This was a thorough process end to end.
Thanks Steve...I agree
You started this video out doing right by the owner of this car. You have a good spirit to do what is right and put forth quality work. Ain't nothing wrong with being like that (and staying w/in budget). More people should be like you.
Thanks Dag TheWog..really do appreciate that
I'm glad you start putting out videos again love all of them showed me some good techniques thanks
I'm glad you stuck around Rico Diesel
Many newbies don't understand that, that technique of fiberglassing metal for rust repair was actually in our Autobody books in college. Now a days they call it a hack .They don't understand the customer don't want to pay a thousand dollars to cover two holes.
Much appreciated man
I love the strength you get from the chopped strand mat but damn is that stuff messy. I used it myself to fix the floor of my spirit when I was a teen and that stuff gets *EVERYWHERE*. Sticks to everything. Brought back memories watching the strands stuck to the gloves.
I know right...You can't get nothing done when it's sticking all to your gloves.
I remember binge watching your vids a few months back. I'm glad you're back to making vids. Even happier you made this video. I'm using this technique on my rear hatch that's rotted some; feel more confident now! I'm using bondoglass instead with foam though. Hope it works.
Thanks for the support. Wish you the best on your project
I respect you sir for being a stand up man for this.. Many would let is walk as it..
@Aniceto Maldonado Jr he is a pro!
You right because it will be covered up with the top..Thanks
He is an Honest Man who loves his work!! I agree a lot of ppl would cover that up because they did not charge for it. Great job as always!! That was some hellava rust you fixed!!
Thank you again Katzbynite
Great video, boss! I have used the foam filler method before, but have had trouble on rust removal beforehand. I am going to use the vinegar & red scuff pad method on my current project. I think the fiberglass repair is a much more sensible option than welding when you are not dealing with an area that is structurally supporting anything. I'm following your method to the tee!
Great... thanks
this channel and my mechanics are my 2 first go to channels period.
Thanks
the cut room in Hollywood and edit timing and knowing when & where to edit in the music is the key of filmography. This has it, and whole notha art besides the one we are watching.

Something to be proud of sir! Some of the nicest work I've ever seen. Your tapping technique really "sets in" that fiberglass. Well done!
Thank you Scott
turned out great and the fiber glass will not rust out again nice work sir
You're exactly right on that one Chris. Thank you
Outstanding job man! It's obvious that you take alot of pride and dedication to your work. I got a Regal with a Vinyl top and everytime it rains or even when I wash it makes me nervous because of this. I keep it parked in the shed 99% of the time though. Keep up the good work bruh! ✌
Thanks. I really appreciate it James
I have a 1967 oldsmobile 98 with some lil rust work needed . I will have to try this method.
If you do it right it'll last long as your car....Thanks don pepe Vb
Love it. Did a fantastic job. And answered one of my many questions while watching this vid about them stubborn rust holes. I’ve got a 86 grand marquis I’m trying to restore. Best vid I’ve seen so far. Even include the products. This will help greatly. Thank you so much for sharing ❤️

For a job that had a budget and needed alot of help, you did an amazing job! Not only that you showed a vast majority of steps and how to basically apply them for the best look and finish even with basic materials you can find at any auto store. Thanks for going that distance and your wisdom.

BRO, I was looking for videos on how to do fiberglass repair, and this video came up! You have NO IDEA how informative this video is! You took me step by step, and I really appreciate that! Now I understand why people call us from other parts of the country, because it is difficult to find some you trust and know their work. You have restored my faith in young men doing really good work. 30 years ago, we did excellent work on anything we did. As time went by, the new order of the day was "get it done fast" Doing things to fast will always mess the work up. We made many things look really good, and last a lifetime. You are a true master of the art sir. Continue to do brilliant work and let the other guys do the fast thing. Your finished work will out last theirs for many years. Well done son ! We are all proud of your work ethic and craftmanship at what you do so well.
Thanks for the kind and encouraging words Dax Inventor
Thanks for your time in making these videos. I have learned so much. I know your customer appreciates your work on this rust on this roof. Sprayway is great way. Keep the videos coming so we can see the final results. 👍🏽🙏🏽

That was an awesome video! Thanks for the tips and looks like you used every trick in the book building up many layers to substitute for welding. Looks really nice!

Thanks Vocals 43...I love to have you around
All you need to do is believe that you are a master at what you do and keep that thought in your mind and that is exactly what will happen Vocals 43. You are already half way their because it sounds like you have the desire to be the best at what you do. Think the way that you want to be long enough and you will become it. Say in your mind " I am the greatest " every day when you get up, and transform your life into your desires. Good luck.
Bruh, some dudes talk to much while showing things, but you say what's needed, then you show it as well. Thanks bro. Keep it up. Respect.
Thanks for watching, it's very much appreciated Berice Frederick
That type of rust is very common for vinyl roof cars as a lot of manufacturers didn't finish the body where the vinyl would be. I know for certain that this happens on Landeau top Olds Cutlass as well. This was a pretty cool video. I'd never have thought to pump in spray foam. That's genius!
Your correct Shane. I wonder why they just didn't take the extra step and finish the roof out. Thanks for watching
Clean ass work, thanks for all the tips. Its always a learning process for everyone and to see how others do it. Thanks keep doing the damn thang.
😊 Thank You J 1luv4God

I like your mannerism and the way you explain and show what your are doing. I don't do body work regularly but I've been around it for more than 50 years. You have good style and procedure for taking care of this rust issue without welding. Thanks for the tip. :-)

Thanks youngestson 65. Glad to have you on the team
Thanks intended for providing these wonderful info.

One of the coldest in the game. Keep doing your thing, bro. I appreciate the content.
Much appreciated
You always impress me the way you take complicated repairs and use basic on the shelf items and do professional repairs. And show us average Joe's how it can be done effectively. The vinegar on a scotchbrite to clean the rust is really clever. And it etched the metal for you so you could finish on top of it. I would have used etch primer on all the metal the only thing I would do different myself if I didn't weld it up. I've got a truck with the same problem maybe I'll try your repair on that. Thank you very much for the information and keep them coming.
Thanks for the great comment Clyde. I really do appreciate you
