I love how Cell is the only person who actually seems to give a damn about Yamcha :P. Like he see's him as such a lack of a threat he'll compliment him. Maybe it has something to do with not having his DNA as a part of Cells perfect structure

*puts nerd glasses on* Goku actually did fight Chi Chi in a Tenkaichi Budokai (World Martial Arts Tournament). Goku pushed her out of the ring with a Kiai (a pressure attack). He literally blew her out of the ring.
Chi Chi was mad at Goku because he forgot that he proposed to her. He thought that marriage was a type of food, but after the fight Goku did ask her to marry him and that's how she became his wife.
Hieillua yup and the reason nobody remembers him is because the world tournament that Mr. Satan won was the first one to be televised
i think it was because of a big time gap due to piccolo appearing at that tournament so no one dared to enter a tournament

i think they cancelled the tournament for a couple years after piccolo vs goku i think since the fight was so dangerous to spectators with the ring pretty much being destoyed and whatnot

The recent Dragon Ball Super episode where Goku fought no. 17 explained Goku's character best. He wants to challenge himself and he wants to fight strong people, but when innocent people or animals get harmed he will step in and he will protect them. When innocent beings get harmed he gets angry. Next to that he doesn't have the traditional sense of caring for a family. He always kept leaving his family to persue fighting because that's just in his Saiyan DNA. He loves his wife and kids, he cares for them, he gets angry when they get hurt or someone threatens them, but he doesn't show love in a general way.
This is why I love that Gohan is different. Gohan doesn't care for just the thrill of the fight. Where Goku has fights with strong opponents as his goal, Gohan only wants to fight if he can protect. Hence Gohan being Great Saiyaman. He wants to be a hero. Gohan also cares more directly for his family. He's always there for them. Gohan is also educated and intelligent. He also is pursuing a job. While Goku never really cared for work.
Gohan does respect his father deeply and Goku admires his son, but they are different and I love that. It could've been easy to make Gohan just a Goku 2.0, but he isn't.

Not saying that Goku is a bad father or anything!!!! Just finding it fun that the once cold blooded Vegeta is now a father who changes his daughter's diapers and is overprotective about her :P Also he was willing to sit out fighting in a tournament just to be there for a pregnant Bulma.

Didn't Vegeta technically wreck Goku in their first fight? I mean, he only lost because a 5 year old, a midget and an obese man with a sword showed up.
Christian The Jew he did it only when he was oozaru. Oozaru is like, a birth priviledge. He didn't work hard for it. he just got it. So to be fair, Goku did beat vegeta
Regina George My point still stands because Goku had the tail too, he just could never control it. Besides, it's still a natural ability of a Saiyan. It's not cheating or anything and Saiyan warriors were clearly not afraid of using it.

Danjor Not to me. He needed it to be on an even level with Vegeta. It's an underdog technique, and Goku is the ultimate underdog. The problem is that he lacked the stamina and strength to capitalize on it enough, that and vegeta is one stubborn bastard.

Cell needs 17 and 18 to transform, it's why he went to the past in the first place. Not to mention that when he absorbed 17, notice how he doesn't go after Piccolo despite the fact that Piccolo was more powerful than 18. Cell could have absorbed Piccolo and become insanely more powerful but that wouldn't make him transform into his perfect form. And Goku fights Chi-Chi in the world tournament.
I know I'm very late but when Cell kamikazes he shoots back to perfect, doesn't that imply it's just the power levels he needs and not them specifically?
You forgot to mention that when gohan says "wait are you having trouble?" Its because TFS are telling you that gohan has a similar power to goku and cell, and in my opinion, gohan is even more powerful than goku and cell

It actually was at a world tournament where Goku Beat Chi-Chi, she entered because she knew that Goku would enter.
Evidently he made a promise to her when they were kids, that he forgot about while training at Kami's lookout for a few years, and said promise is played on in Episode 38, regarding the Dragonball references/jokes. And kinda again in the Broly movie. (I had to look it up)
So yeah it ended in one punch... man... I mean, not really a punch, more of a, powerful gust of wind. Kinda like a... serious punch.
It's the tournament where Goku fights Piccolo Jr, I mean, Krillin fought Piccolo too and lost, anyway, Goku wins by ringout after piccolo missed all of his internal organs, yes... ALL OF THEM, (though he hit a quite a few with the makankosappo #doublekill). It's also the tournament where Tien demonstrates his multiform technique in the second round against Goku, where goku also wins by ringout using long division.
Oh, and the promise he made to chi-chi when they were kids was marriage, which goku thought was some kind of food... apparently he thinks Divorce is a kind of food too...

Kaioken and the big ass ape are very different ,Vegeta literally used some GTA op hack code, Goku on the other hand nearly died using Kaioken... it drains a lot of stamina like king kai said and took a lot of time to master it... But vegeta gets x10 up his power without losing a shit.. still dont know how people say its the same

Regarding 17 and 18, Cell did need them specifically to transform into his perfect form. He could have gotten stronger by absorbing other people or even the z warriors, but at the end of the day he still would have been stuck as Imperfect Cell. 17 and 18 were the catalysts needed to jumpstart his transformations. Putting it into different terms, it's like how you can level a Pikachu as much as you want, but at the end of the day it's not turning into a Raichu without a thunder stone.
Goku did beat Chichi in a world tournament, it was a quarter finals match. He than met Krilin in the semis and Piccolo in finals. The good'old days. You have to watch Dragonball too.

Goku fought Chi Chi in the 23rd world marshal arts tournament. She told him if he beat her then she would tell him her name, cause Goku didn't remember her, cause they were little kids when thry last saw each other, so Goku used a wind blast to nock her out of the ring without touching her. Then they got married after he found out who she was shortly after.

The tournament that Goku beat Chichi in was a World Martial Arts Tournament. It was the one that he one by beating Piccolo. It was the first time they'd seen each other in at least 3-5 years and she was there to make sure he'd live up to his word and marry her.

17 and 18 were made. Gero realized he couldn't control them. He made cell so that he could control him and also probably a little out of spite. In Dragon Ball Z Budokai there's a what if story where Cell absorbes Krillin instead of 18 and transforms into this little brown cell jr. then yamcha and tien kill him.
The Spirit Bomb doesn’t attack evil, it attacks anyone. Pure hearted people can deflect it(if it’s the small version), but it doesn’t necessarily need to be pure good hearted, it can also be pure evil hearted.
In the first DBZ bukokai game, the cutscenes made a distinction between stabbing and drinking absorbing and tail opening and swallowing them whole...in one of the last levels cell has a nightmare while waiting for the cell games to begin where he’s fighting to absorb 18, and killing somehow blocks the absorbing attempt and HE get swallowed up through that method, cell freaks out that it was the wrong person and he transforms...
He becomes orange, loses his nose, shrinks to about the size of a cell junior, and the dark dome of his head has the 6 dots...so he takes on killings traits
Simply put, stab and drink = add their power to his own...
Open tail and swallow the person whole = transform...
The thing with Chi-Chi is that she wanted to marry him, but at the same time refused to do so if he wasn't strong enough to beat her in a fight. So she decided that they would fight, which they "did"

The main reason people don't remember Goku winning the tournament and why everyone thinks Hercule is so strong is because the tournament was a very closed off event that only a small population saw and it wasn't broadcast on tv or anything until Hercule started winning.

To be fair, Goku steals techniques and makes them better. I mean, he did once shoot a Kamehameha out through his feet which Roshi never considered. And his after image thing he added more than what Roshi could achieve. As for the Ka-io Ken and Spirit Bomb, technically he was taught those ones.

Cell actually does absorb Goku in the actual anime. Thats how Goku ends up losing and Gohan has to take him down. It was right after Cell attempted to self destruct and Goku teleported him to King Kai’s planet. He blows up killing Goku and King Kai and then regenrates from a single cell absorbing Goku’s power ON TOP of the Strength boost he would get from being part Saiyan. He comes back as Ultimate Perfect Cell. With the Super Saiyan 2 lightning aura around him.

To set the record straight, Goku "beat" Chichi in self defense. She was trying to beat him for forgetting about his promise to marry her. Also, he never actually hit her. Just used the energy generated from punching the air to knock her out of the ring. But yeah, I get how it's funnier when you take away the context.
