- MADtv: "The Lillian Verner Game Show" • The latest GSN original; host Dale Briskett (Paul Vogt) and wacky announcer/sidekick Simian Dyson (Michael Hitchcock) preside over what might be a Game Show... or just a glorified infomercial for the Lillian Verner product line. Contestants: Stephnie Weir, Daniele Gaither and Michael McDonald. Aired: Feb 14, 2004
- Komedie
What I love about Simeon is that his friendliness and energy are infectious, but the more he shares about his personal life, the less you want to be around him. 😂
EXACTLY.
Hey! Did you work on the show?!
😂 😂 😂
Paulie, so glad to see you on CZcams!! You are greatly loved and appreciated. You are a wonderful character actor and have made us laugh so much. I miss MadTV.
Wow, thank you! That's so nice!
Michael McDonald is such a phenomenal actor. Him actually breaking character is such a rare occurrence, and it's priceless when it happens.
it was my mission in life to make him break! 😂
You hosted this so brilliantly … it’s the most ridiculous show, and you hosted perfectly
thank you. it was mostly improvised. and SO fun.
I can’t believe you didn't break character during that final Rocky buzzer (the speech from Rocky 4).
Seeing Gale anxiously waiting to give her answer while it kept going was just hilariously awkward to watch 😆
Such a legend. Loved you on Madtv!
oh. they always tried to get me to break... but i was a professional !! 😂 😂 😂 😂 except that one time during a Stuart sketch. OY. i laughed right no national television. 😂 😂 😂 😂
one of my favorite skits from MadTV.
hey! mine, too! 😂
My doctor needs to prescribe me whatever Simeon is on. 😂😂😂
i don't think it's legal! 😂
"ya know, like fires and kidnappings"
LMFAO
ridiculous!! 🤣🤣🤣 so funny.
You are very talented. I loved you as Ms. Garrett especially
thanks. that's very kind!
I think you do Charlotte Rae better than Charlotte Rae lol 😂
This was always classic!
Loved doing Lillian Verner sketches. We'd tape one version with the script that was written that week... then we'd improvise a second take... and those usually lasted 15 - 20 minutes... and the whole place would laugh so much we couldn't breathe! fun times. (what aired was usually a mix of the two.)
@@paulievogt Mad tv is such an underrated show. When you consider the talent from first season to the end, I believe it was funnier and way more consistently good than snl!
thanks. that's sweet. it was fun.
Can you share the one where Carol says "dang it!" and you're like "hey watch your language Carol this isn't Jeopardy!"
ha! love that one. sure. 👍 i'll look for it.
@@paulievogt thank you!
I just adore Simeon!!!!!
we were all paid to adore Simeon. a lot. 😂 (i adore him too. still friends!)
@@paulievogt lol 🤣🤣🤣🤣 nobody does Lillian Verner like you!!!!
@@FullofSouthernCharm thanks! 😊
Always loved these sketches, and I loved the blooper at the end where you made Micheal say he was sorry in Giant. Was their a lot of improvising on the show since it was taped?
Not always... but all the Lillian Verner sketches ended up being a lot of improvisation. They'd write a sketch. We'd film it word-for-word. Then they'd unleash me and Michael Hitchcock and we'd improvise the sketch. Those usually lasted 15 minutes!! 🤣🤣🤣 then in editing they'd take the best from both and make the 3-5 minute sketch. 🤣🤣🤣
Did you enjoy Mad tv and Rerun show?
yup! loved them both. totally fun!
FOX bring back MAD TV!!!!!!!!!!!
it was a fun show!
You would have been great on snl.
aw shucks. thanks. i had so many friends working on that show... it would've been a blast.
BILINGUAL DOG TRANLATOR??????
😂 😂 😂
I think it was after you left, i think i remember mad tv doing this game show with simeon as the host. Howevere, without you, it wasnt as funny.
aw thanks. i loved doing them.
