it was just for the extra armor and magic resist when not being around teammates
tons of HP and Ad plus free 60 mr and armor in one item is pretty busted, the push potential is just a bonus

If you play Volibear correctly, you can basically win every matchup at lvl 1. Of course it depents on the matchup what you got, what items you get at the start, what runes, Q/W/E start... One of the strongest lvl 1 champions in the game. Iam a Volibear main, 355K on EUW, 831K on EUNE. I remember after the recent buffs I managed to outdamage Fiora at lvl1 and I actually killed her with the W start method. There is the Q start method(I would not recommend it) or the E start method for lvl1 kills. You can even destroy Teemo, Fiora(as mentioned), Urgot, Shen, Yorick, Garen, DARIUS!!! JAX!!! Basically any toplaner. With the correct timing, correct lvl 1 start, correct starter items... There is a very very fun build now after the buffs. Just rush Navori Quickblades into Spirit Visage. Your W will have a 2 sec cooldown!!! WIth increased healing. Insane.(With the exact same runes what you used in this video).

Seeing how good is Voli with attack speed, I'd love to see a pure on hit build
Attack speed doesn't work quite as well due to his q and w animations not speeding up with the attacks peed as much as they should to keep it smooth. I used to build fighter items and do a build similar to Jax or trundle with sunderer, Bork, into tank or more ad (deaths dance, cleaver, spirit, steraks Deadmans, shojin, anything that give you more damage and keeps you alive longer). I haven't tried it since heart steal came out but I might have to give it a try again before the get rid of mythics.
@@theogpaulmolnar3547 Thank you for the input, Voli seems like a very fun champ to master due to his ability to just kill everyone, but I bet some matchups are very frustrating. Btw do you go top mostly or other lanes as well?
@tatecomedy mostly top. His jungle clear is also still not bad either. Generally Jax tends to be the biggest issue I've ever run into due to his e. If your going into a match that you wanna trade with rather than all in go grasp for your keystone with shield bash. You can easily grasp trade using your shield and q. voli gets counterd most by things that block autos or that can kite and auto sustain him. His lvl 1 is kinda bad for fighting but works well in lane if you start e to early trade. His lvl 2, 3 and 6 are where you can really start to be more agressive since you get q at 2 and w for sustain at 3. You also get to dive at 6 due to his ult. It's worth noting that his w scales with health and ad similar to shen e so regardless of build path taking something that gives you more max heath will also give you damage. He doesn't scale with resistances as much so unless you don't car about doing damage and just wanna be super tanky (witch is really fun) then you don't need much outside of spirit, and sunfire. If the your enemy has another tank mark them with you w at the start of a team fight and use them as a health pack to.krep your self alive. It's works great.

I use to main Voli years ago before the rework , he was always strong
@@pierrecrous8811 yeah, he was, no doubt about that, but he's even stronger now. He has max health magic damage, shields, turret disable, a heal you can decide when to use it, fuck ton of AS and on-hit, crazy health, movement speed, unstoppable state
i just think people don't appreciate how strong his kit is, he can 1v1 almost anyone, even an irelia without much effort
