It is a style that some people like and some do not. Craig and Steve both. Yes, they can be biased. But they state their reasons emphatically, so it is easy to pin down why I think they are wrong. These guys know football, and I respect that even when I think they are waaaay off.
Happens in every sport. Just watch the BBC commentators wax lyrical about Federer and Nadal, you will probably want to throw up. Djokovic is the villain in the piece, he doesn't get as many compliments.

Honest impression of Burley: I think he just says shit about teams just to be controversial/ being the hated guy.
