I’m Catholic, mexican, from Monterrey and when I used to live in Mexico City almost every Saturday the JWs wood knock on my door. And I had many Bible verses for them, from their “translation”, to refute their beliefs. The sad thing is they couldn’t listen to what The Bible had to say to them. As in any “cult”, they are “trained” ( or should I say brainwashed?) to ONLY ENGAGE if the “other” person is willing to listen to them, but if you turn it around they just say things like; “good for you, you read the Bible”, and come with an excuse to leave. But it is very sad when one of them does turn away and loose family members, kind a like the muslims. I think that is the worst part of all of this but then again if we want to follow Jesus, then we have to be willing to carry our cross. God Bless!!
You perfectly described them plus they usually make sure that they come in twos or more so the others distract you while another one tries to make you seem like you confused while also throwing at you false analogies and Bible verses that are not in context of what you discuss with them. I think it's part of how they are trained.
The JW society has brainwashed many people. I was not allowed to check other source besides what the society gives and what elders say. Loss my mother and 2 sisters, disfellowship from the congregation but gained Jesus. This wicked system will not endure.Sam thank you for reaching the loss. Prayers for your big day. God bless

When the scriptures are clearly explained, some people are blinded by the truth and cannot see it. Satan has distorted peoples way of thinking and they WILL NOT except it. We pray for their eyes and minds be opened to the truth.

I loved your discussion with the JW. As delusional as he is, this really helped me a lot. I'm learning so much from you. Everything he accused you of doing is exactly what he was doing. We don't need anything other than the bible to refute nonbelievers.

One of our good friends had people he worked with who were JW. One day they came to his home to witness to him. He invited them in and listened to them for quite awhile. At the end he said 'You know the thing is I have a relationship with the Living God, who comforts me, teaches me and gives me His ultimate Grace'

Both men started silently crying. I cant remember the full story I believe one came back later to learn more and the other did not.
Never forgot this story even though this man has long gone home, his life is still with us.
I was glad I got out of watchtower before they started their brainwashing. My sister didn't follow me.

The root of the problem is that the society teaches Jehovah’s witnesses that we believe that the father switches rolls, depending on the mission. That’s why it doesn’t make any sense. That’s why they use the example of Jesus praying to himself, when refuting what they think we believe. We need to teach them that the society has taught them a totally incorrect explanation of what the trinity is.

In the Jehovas witness bible: Isaiah 44:6 Jehova says I am the first and the last.
Revelation 1:17-18 Jesus says I am the first and the last.
It does not get clearer than that. There can only be one first and last. If Jesus is not Jehova, you have a clear contradiction.

I ran to our lord for the first time in feb 18. I quickly realized to shut up until I learn exceedingly. Nonetheless there IS supernatural peace through trust in our lord, & it's tangible, actual & miraculous. God IS good! The nation of Israel needed to undergo physical water baptism (or washing) for several reasons:
1. Symbolic cleansing: Water baptism represented a symbolic cleansing from sin and impurity, which was essential for Israel's covenant relationship with God (Leviticus 15:13-14, Numbers 19:13).
2. Covenant membership: Water baptism was a sign of membership in the Israelite community and identification with God's people (Exodus 12:48, Deuteronomy 10:16).
3. Preparation for temple worship: Israelites needed to undergo ritual washing before participating in temple worship, which included water baptism (Exodus 30:18-21.
In contrast, the church, the body of Christ, does not require physical water baptism because:
1. Spiritual baptism: Believers in the church age undergo spiritual baptism, where the Holy Spirit places them into the body of Christ (1 Corinthians 12:13).
2. Under grace: The church is under grace, not under a covenant like Israel (Romans 6:14-15, Ephesians 2:8-9). We receive salvation and spiritual life through faith in Jesus Christ, without the need for external ritualistic washing.
3. No temple worship: The church does not have a physical temple, and therefore, there is no need for ritualistic washing before worship.
The body of Christ, which includes all believers, is baptized by the Holy Spirit into the body of Christ (1 Corinthians 12:13). This spiritual baptism occurs at the moment of salvation, when we put our faith in Jesus Christ. Additionally, individuals are baptized by the Holy Spirit into the body of Christ, and this baptism is not performed by any human agent or through physical water baptism.
In summary, physical water baptism was required for Israel due to their covenant relationship, temple worship, symbolic cleansing, and identification with Christ through rebirth. However, the church, under grace, emphasizes spiritual baptism and internal cleansing through faith in Jesus Christ, and is baptized by the Holy Spirit into the body of Christ.
