Get to know all the details about How to Practice Dentistry in Germany after BDS/MDS, with Dr Soujanya Arun, a Practising Dentist in Germany since 2015. Her area of interest lies in Endodontics and Periodontology.
She completed her BDS from NTR Health University, India in the year 2007, practised general dentistry till 2012 in various clinics and Care Hospitals, Hyderabad and then moved to Germany in 2012.
After moving, she did PG diploma in Konstanz university, Germany and got trained in Orthodontics. Along-with her education she was also working in a clinic to get the clinical exposure. She was a topper of the Konstanz University in the year of 2017 and since then she has been actively participated in many Conferences and advanced education Programs which added to the Career opportunities.
In Collaboration with the regional Health Ministry of Germany she has conducted many Dental Camps in the schools and Kindergartens working for my Motto Prevention is better than cure.

Do we have to give resume in every hospital individually???
You need to browse through the career section of the hospital's websites and check out their social media pages like LinkedIn. Connect with people through social media and ask about their current opportunities. Also, since you might find that not all hospitals are active on social media, you should individually visit the hospitals you intend to work in; ask about the opportunity and submit your resume.

Check with the public universities, the main issue with the public universities is the language. Most of them offer courses in German language, hence you need to be fluent in that.

Does that PG degree is valid to practice in India?
Yes, it is valid to practice specialty in India. You need to sit for DCI Examinations only if you intend to get into academics and research. For private practice, it is not mandatory as of now. Also, whenever you intend to pursue specialization outside India and then think of returning back, make sure to check with the rules and regulations of DCI at that time, because they might change in near future.

For german language there are institutes, but for the dental examination don't think there are any. Dr Soujanya has mentioned few institutes for exam prep, try connecting with them, they might be giving online lectures.
