    3:00 Well it's closer to the actual eurostars than the TGV Duplex you went for, i don't know if these would even be allowed onto the british network with their loading gauge.
    The flashing means that you should be at this speed at the next signal because the speed limit will change. It changes to a lower speed and sometimes keeps flashing until the next signal if you're approaching a station - it's basically supposed to make you focus your attention at the speed limits.
    Looking at how much it flashed and fluctuated, i think it's safe to say there was a train not too far in front of you, presumably a Javelin and the system is supposed to keep a safe distance between trains with the varying speed levels. That's why the Javelins depart at some weird departure times at St. Pancras - they have to work around the Eurostars and somehow not disturb their schedules - easier said than done when the Eurostars can go 320 kmh while the Javelins have a lower maximum speed.

    DTG needs to look at the TVM-430 speed limit Ebbsfleet to Ashford International Station Because you are actually supposed to be going at 185 miles per hour 300 km per hour just like a Class 374 Eurostar which is a 16 carriages version of a Hollandstrecke Duisburg/Bochum-Utrecht DB Baureihe 408 Mannheim Appenweier Strasbourg Railway TSC DB Baureihe 407. For the American routes there is a correct term for SPAD SSO (Stop signal overrun)

    • @MorganTheTimeLord
      @MorganTheTimeLord Před rokem +9

      Could you not tell he was following behind the 395 that appears at the end the end of the video? TVM isn't gonna let him go 300 so close to another train. You even saw in the video he was close to a SPAD because he was going to fast!

    The reason there is an ICE 3 there is because both the ICE 3 and the class 374 (older Eurostar to what you’re emulating) are both Siemens trains under the Velaro family. The cabs are very similar to each other. This was the closest DTG could really do to get a class 374 at St. Pancras

    • @Vectron42
      @Vectron42 Před 10 měsíci

      That is correct like class 374 and ICE3 neo are from the same family of valoro trains

  • @jaffacakemonster53
    @jaffacakemonster53 Před rokem

    For those who commented about the trains.
    BR Class 373 (e300), the original Eurostar trains are based on the French TGV but are not quite as tall and a bit thinner to fit trough the UK's small tunnels. This was before HS1 was built so it travelled along the 'normal commuter track'.
    BR Class 374 (e320), the newer Eurostar are based on German ICE (Siemens Velaro MK3). Unlike the BR 373/e300 they are 'full fat', that is havnt been made thinner and as a result they can ONLY be used on HS1. They are roughly the width / height of the TGV Duplex (double decker train).
    HS1 was built with a higher loading gauge so it can accept French TGV Duplex (double decker trains), although like the BR Class 374's, they can only be used between St.Pancras and the Channel Tunnel.
    Would I like to see an actual TGV and ICE travel on HS1 that is not a stunt? Yes please! Also Spanish trains will be coming soon to the UK via the tunnel but I don't think much info has been released about that yet.

    Mega sim… Stratford international is actually classed as international even tho no international trains stop there
    But the reason is because it’s on an international line.
    Also they have been reluctant to call it just Stratford and possibly even have international trains from there in the future.
