I never thought I would say this, but in terms of interior design Peugeot could teach the Germans a thing or two about style.
Yes, BUT...few years ago when new 308 came out Peugeot looked like spaceship compared to golf 7 and now few years later i dont even notice 308 and golf 7 still manages to look fresh. Its something I cant put my finger on but german cars somehow stay fresh longer in terms of design. Btw I drive a Ford so no fanboyism here.
The french make most of german cars interiors except for designing them.
Have driven my 508 for 3 months now and absolutely love it. Its a true pleasure to drive and combines great economy and power. Had a peugeot 504 and 205 yrs ago and loved those too 👍
I would pick this over audi or bmw saloon. It just looks so nice it stands out
Great design. I love how French cars differentiate themselves from all the boring cars out there from most other brands. The rear especially looks super cool.
Schlomothebest As far as I know, I’m 0% French. Should I do one of those DNA kits and get back to you with an exact percentage? XD

Then your wife is French or you like French kiss or French fries.....
LOL I agree with your first comment
no. the back seats are too small for adults. the 405 was better. i don't know why peugeot have become bad
Amazing job Peugeot. Drove the GT a month ago... Amazing performance!!
I really like this car, it’s not like any normal looking car u see everyday ...job well done Peugeot👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾💯💯💯
This is my favourite car of 2018. Well done Peugeot
Same here, and it's the first Peugeot since the 406 coupe that I would actually consider buying.
Damn, now this is a car that really looks like it's a car from 21st century.
Most beautiful sedan in years. Great job Peugeot. As for Ginny always the best.
I love this car for two reasons - it's not German, and it's not an SUV.
@@timeyinsholaye9169 to mainstream cars, they have no personality especialy in the vw group
I don’t own a Peugeot but I have to admit it seems it’s only their designers that make any meaningful effort in designing car nowadays. Most of the rest have gone terribly lazy.
They just look like they are copying the VW (Skoda Seat) design to be honest
@@davidviner4932 The New Mazda 3, Ford Focus, all Suzukies, the new DS3, Volvos; seems like there are plenty of examples that don't look like any VGA cars?
It's really nice to hear (and to read in the comment section) how this new Peugeot sedan lives up to what people expect from this kind of cars today. I'm french, and since I grew up with Peugeot 4 series and then worked at Peugeot, I've always had a true bind to this brand. But between 2001 and 2013 (that's a loooong time), Peugeot styling directions mostly made me cringe. They had to come up with the 308 in 2013, with the 5008 and now with this stunning new 508, to get all my love back again. There's been a tremendous step-up across the lineup lately, in terms of build quality, styling and overall look-and-feel, that shows Peugeot's new strategy.
Oh, one thing they never lost : Peugeot has always been the best manufacturer (side to side with BMW) for everything related to handling and chassis design/settings. That is something that the press in the UK often ignores, praising for Ford's agility (which is good too). And this new 508 is no exception. It offers PERFECT balance between riding comfort; handling, and steering precision/feedback, like all the Peugeots always have. They really should develop some really powerful engines to suit their marvelous suspensions even better.
Karim KAIEL I agree with you, they should put 6-cylinder engines to match the vehicle. But unfortunately, Peugeot isn't in a position where they can develop an engine only to sell little of them. 😕
I still think it is crazy how the cars on the EMP2 platform handles, with a basic front wheel drive and standard suspension setup. Germans have to put 4 wheel drive, 4 wheel steering, and adaptive dampers to get close to matching French vehicles in terms of versatility.
I have owned quite a few peugeots and i literally stopped buying them after the 306 GTi-6 as the cars just became bland. Since their new CEO took over, they have produced some excellent cars, the RCZ (ive got the R), the 208, 308 mk2, 3008 SUV (just picking my 2nd one up next week), the 508 (test drove it and loved it but i needed a slightly more accessible car for taking the mother out and the 508 is a little difficult for her to get in, hence a new 3008 SUV). Its good to see they have their mojo back :)
This car is absolutely stunning both in the interior and in the exterior. Saloons are far more interesting than the suvs that now everybody wants and especially this beautiful vehicle. Well done Peugeot!
I have to say: If I had enough money, I'd buy a Peugeot 508 rather than an Audi A4/A5 5-door or VW Arteon. I mean look at it, it's stunningly beautiful (interior and exterior). I actually liked the design of the previous facelifted model of the 508. German cars don't look interesting anymore (except for the current Opel Insignia)
A striking looking car inside and out. Great effort from Peugeot, this is one car I won't mind getting to drive one day.
Peugeot is on a roll at the moment. Amazing looking car
The piano keys are the best buttons in automotive history. However its every mans opinion
Great Video Review. I particularly like the quality of the materials Inside the Car Including the Red Leather Seats
Great review Ginny, you're right about the looks the 508 is a very pretty car & very reminiscent of Peugeot's of the past (like the 504) and that's a big compliment to give it, seems like Peugeot are finally staring to build interesting cars again. I'm with Batch though on the piano switches, i really like them too. It's a small touch but one that's so avent-garde, so French, like something you'd find in a big Citroen.
Loving the new car reviews
I love my 208 GTi as a sports car, but If I had to choose soft ride with friends or family, I would buy the 508 GT line, though.
Definitely a refreshing design inside & out : ) Love the up close camera placement while Ginny drives ! : )
The visual of this car is amazingly well done inside-out, undercut the car above its segment namely the repetitive looking premium German's rivals, let alone its nearest ...
There's a lot of tasteful intricate design details around this car like the kink at the rear window complete with the GT emblem, the piano - inspired toggle keys and the quilted pattern on the seats which is not the usual cross - stitched diamond design that really show their design prowess ...
Kudos, Peugeot 👏
Peugeot is starting to recover from the dour decades of poor design and poorly built cars. The new range looks so refreshingly good and reliability is so improved.
I enjoyed your review. Well done!
Massive Gilly fan what a good job she does not cutting anyone any slack but remains pleasing to the eye.
For a moment I thought the cheering crowd came with the tilting lights 😂😂; on the other hand I think sedans have to be more equiped since the SUVs hords don't seem to calm down at the momment, I particularly prefer the sedan to a suv, great review as usual Ginny 👏👏👏
I love this review. A great car shown by a smart lady. Very well done!
I'm surprised.. What a good way to end this year.. Good work Peugeot
O design dos carros da peugeot é fantástico, espero que o 508GT venha para o BRASIL.
What a stunning car. Beautiful design and a stunning interior. Great review, Ginny.
Got a 2015 5o8 really nice car but new one is lovely inside and out sat in one never drove one so modern and up to date peugeot getting better and better
Seen one today and they look very Well on the road,,
Interior is awesome
Styling and quality...other manufacturers take note..well done peugeot.
Just lovely through out. Hope it does well.
Ginny good review on the Peugeot 508 all point covered looking forward to test drive 1.5 litre derv burner with auto box.
Nice review!
One of the best looking cars I've seen in a while. If it was in red that would be pretty much perfect. Enough about colour though. I would love to drive one soon.
Excellent descendant of the 505 my Grandpa used to drive.
Them rear lights flash like KITT from Knight Rider. A Pug for the Hoff.
Because it's a Peugeot I want to hate it but at the same time, I'm kind of falling in love with it and would consider buying it!
Look at 406 v6, old 504 etc... peugeot did great cars. Depend the model.
508Sport in coming.
"It has that wild factor" ... very well said. 👍
I have a 62 plate 508 with 331k and it’s never missed a beat
My new 508 is just amazing. Love every detail of the car. For sure have things to get better in technology like the infotainment system so far a little bit laggy for my taste and the bluetooth connection tends to fail when the cell phone is placed at the wireless charging. But those are little details compared to the amount of car you get overall!
that interior 😍
Stunning looking car
Looks so futuristic, yet not ugly. Well done.
I still want one!
Very good car, well done peugeot
I love the piano buttons
Great car, everything on spot, only thing that is bad is infotainment system bugs out...
I still want one, the 508 GT
Would love to own this car one day
Why are they making it impossible to change headlight bulbs...if they go out at night your stuck ... very worrying.
La nouvelle 508 est tellement belle, même dans mes rêves les plus fou , j'aurai pas imaginé que Peugeot serai faire une voiture aussi réussit, et l'intérieur est fantastique venu du futur
LOVE this. Its very striking! I really hope the Peugeot USA return rumors are true!
This car is really an awesome car !
Lovely looking car, love the back
Best looking car in its class,
And one of the best of any class,
Brilliant....
Mercedes did have nightvision cockpit years ago in the Sedan segment!?
Wish i had the money to buy one, but i guess i need to wait a couple of years for a used one. Ill stick to my 208 GTI for now... :)
Gorgeous sedan
Looks like 1990’s Ford Probe (from fear)....Love it!
LION FRENCH RESURECTION.
it looks very good
Your description on the rear space " those with a short body and long legs, will find themselves comfortable" is simply out of the box wit.
WOW!!!! OMG!!!!
if the reliability turns out to be good, I will buy this car
Went to buy a 508sw this week with my friend only to find out that neither of us could get into the car. We tried all sorts of things to get in, the salesman was laughing his head off at us, but he admitted we were not going to get in. Talk about being disappointed as I have had Peugeots before and had nothing like this, very very disappointed the problem is the roof pillor at the top of the door, just to low
The seat design reminds me of an old cardigan I used to own.
Nice looking car and a change from the constant menu of SUVs. Just a shame rear headroom is so poor. I wonder if this was deliberate?
She is so much better at presenting than that other guy
Love it
Yep.
I wish I was able to get one in Canada
You can buy it in mexico, or wait USA and peugeot continue the discussions (i think US will import the 508, with massiv taxes)
Should be 508 Sabertooth
ive got 508 2012 155000 miles on the clock every month i have to visit the garage i gonna get reed off it very soon
amazing beautiful car 👍👍👍
I can see this being very popular in Malta...... With taxi drivers
the only thing i don't like about it is the firm suspension. it makes for a rough ride
Beautiful car - does she come with it?
This model needs a refresh.
French touch ! 💥😍
That is one sexy car.
Pretty nice for not a premium product
Rear headroom (or lack of it) is going to hurt the sales.shame because it's a breath of fresh air design wise, but any body with kids/ grandkids 10 or older will give it a swerve due to rear space.
A lot of money though, great looks
the best Peugeot
Top up Peugeot 508gt line goooood
I miss RCZ
I would like to hear Jeremy Clarkson opinion about this stuff
Carbuyer = Carwow no queremos mas canales para ganar mas dinero por distintas personas. Danke
I would choose this over the equivalent Ford, Skoda and even the Passat
0:40 the colour difference between the front bumper and the body is *disturbing*
That is the reflection of the body panel in the outline of the front grill which is shiny chrome.
If they had this in the U.S., I would have bought it. Why aren't they here?
Peugeot makes some of the best looking cars these days, interior and exterior
