I broke down crying over this as I have a huge weak spot for kids and I know my boyfriend will be wanting us to have a daughter when we are able to try for a baby, so this hit me to my very soul. Anyone who can harm a child is truly evil and to use an animal as a tool to do so is sickening.

Whose reign wasnt filled with sadness when you surround yourself with so much discord. Harems are a one way ticket to misery. The harems were in fact a live or die situation. There wasnt such a thing as peace. It was a place of killed or be killed.

Because these women are in a day in day out fight for favor and power. Its a place that directly pits women against one another. Its what I think. In a mistress setting most of the time its kept under wraps and very hush hush. But you are right that its the same concept. I dont know which one would be worst. Because maybe in a mistress setting the walls are not physical but mental. Escaping the capitol would be seen as treason. Whilst in a harem setting the women are very much so heavily jeweled slaves.

Plus you do realize that these dramas are, well, a dramatized version of history. Imperial concubines weren't murdering children left right and center. If they were discovered, their entire family would have been massacred, up to the third cousins or something. But the fact is that whenever one person has too much power, without proper checks and balances, it will lead to misery. The number of wives notwithstanding.

This death is hilariously stupid. A small dog scared a little girl to death? Really? How weak was that little girl? I used to play with big hunting dogs at her age. An entire group of adults struggled to intercept that small dog? Over 10 people are screaming and freaking out instead of calmly removing the dog, or easily blocking its path? That's the dumbest, most useless group of people I've ever seen. That dog is tiny. That entire opening scene was so stupid I couldn't take it seriously.
I found out the little girl has heart disease, which is why she died so easily from being startled. Now it makes more sense! Someone wouldn't die so easily of fright unless they had a bad heart, which she did.
Still, it's ridiculous that the adults let the dog get all the way to the little girl. How did no one interfere???
