- Hi everyone, just a quick hello from Hollybrook Cemetery Southampton.
I’m doing some filming but also visit the grave of Frederick fleet serving on the Titanic and Benny Hill comedian and tv star
#titanic #bennyhill #famousgraves - Zábava
Disgusting the way Benny was treated by TV terminating his contract...never got over it :( RIP mate
His shows were costing £450.000 to make per episode and his viewing figures were dropping and he wasn’t prepared to change anything so they got rid of him all together. Very sad because his show was his entire life but in the tv industry when you’re hot everyone loves you but it’s short lived. He was left with a fortune of 10 million pounds but it meant nothing to him.
Benny Hills grave was robbed after his burial because the papers reported he was buried with lots of gold. When he was re-buried they placed the heavy stone on top to prevent it happening again. Very sad
Its Illegal to be buried with Gold or Money, I don't think it can be true
Sad if that’s true.
@@paulguise698 it was rumoured that he was buried with gold and jewels and the newspapers then reported it. That night grave robbers dug him up and opened his coffin. Yes it is illegal but unfortunately newspapers reporting rumors is perfectly legal
Wow what a shocking story. How come his laid to rest so far from where he lived in. Kent?
@@bluepeter128 I think he was born in Southampton and his parents are buried there
I loved watching Benny Hill while I was growing up, very funny man, we all know he drives the fastest milk cart in the West. Rip Benny, also god bless Frederick Fleet rip xx
I love the idea of the Titanic graves, may I also suggest that if ever you are in Kent, near Rochester, take a trip to a small village called Wouldham and in the church close to the door is Walter Burke - he was a purser during the battle of Trafalgar and is known for holding Nelson during his last moments on board HMS VICTORY to this day the school children of the village lay flowers at his grave on Trafalgar day . Sadly Walters home no longer stands in Wouldham, but it’s certainty a nice place to visit with the river Medway running along at the back of the graveyard
Hi Paul. There is a statue of Edward Smith, Captain of the Titanic in Beacon Park, Lichfield, Staffs. Born in Hanley, Stoke on Trent, there are various stories as to why his memorial stands in Lichfield, 30 miles away from his home town.
Thank you Paul for showing us around the all the famous graves Benny hill was so funny so sad we have lost a lot of funny people it’s never the same anymore so interesting Paul 🥰
Thomas William Jones was a Titanic survivor. Born on Anglesey. He was ordered in to lifeboat number 8 by Captain Smith to row away the ladies in it. One of the passengers was the Countess of Rothes who was very vocal about what he should do. He apparently put her to work in steering the lifeboat. They remained in touch following the disaster. He is buried in Liverpool Anfield cemetery and crematorium. His niece was my grand-aunt Jane. Not a blood relative, just by marriage.
Hi TJ i remember walking up Nelson Column at Llanfair PG when i was young and seeing sea cadets below ! Wonder if T W Jones spent time there B4 meeting Captain Smith ...i cant imagine what he though the last moments when screams became silence ! with Love B Jones
@@brynjones7507 they must have been the trainees at HMS Indefatigable when it was a school. You can’t climb the Anglesey column at moment due to restoration works.
That was a double whammy that easter weekend 31 years ago
Frankie Howard and Benny just 24 hours apart...
R.I.P. to two National Treasures.
Remembered today and Always.....
Anything on Titanic grabs my undivided attention. Good call Paul.❤. I have studied this ship since I was 11 years old. Defo got to do a collaboration. Scott rocks.❤❤
Benny Hill was my favorite and my introduction to British comedy here in the States. I know I mentioned this before but Benny Hill was my nick name at uni...apparently I have the same beady eyes. 😵💫
Scott on tape is a brilliant guy,his videos are fab, morning Paul, yet another great video x
Paul, I know the cemetery very well. The Roman Catholic Canon who married me to my first wife lies near to Benny. In addition, my paternal family lie nearly as well! I was born in Southampton but you will be pleased that I follow The Hammers! Thank you for an interesting episode! Bob
What a wonderful idea to do a live chat while also filming at a cemetery.
That's bloody brilliant, man!
Totally love the idea of it.
If memory serves me correctly..
Then again, it might not..
But is this the first time doing this?
If it is, please keep doing more.
You're onto something Paulie 😊
Cheers!
-Jerry
Hi Paul, hope you're well mate.
Loved Benny Hill, He was so funny ! Loved his song Ernie The fastest milkcart in the west !
RIP Benny Hill And Frederick Fleet 🙏🙏🕊🕊
As a kid, I learnt the words to the ‘B’ side Ting-a-ling-a-loo, still got the record, can still remember the words. I’m proud of that!
Hi Paul, just managed to catch up on this video. How wonderful to see a titanic survivor there, and I use to watch benny Hill as a kid. He was and is a legend 🙌🏻
Love your content as always
Thank you, yes, Benny was a legend… and Frederick Fleet had such a sad story… I did a full video on him when I first started.

Not forgetting Reginald Lee, second lookout on Titanic too.
I've made the Titanic a lifelong passion.
Very interesting subject to find the graves of Titanic survivors! I can't wait to see more. And btw I do follow Scott's channel. He is very good at what he does and gives so much detail. I appreciate what you both do!
Watching on catchup yet again lol will keep eye out for notification tonight lol x

Once again a great video, love your enthusiasm. Think your side venture is a great idea
I watch Scott on tape he's brilliant 💙💚
Ditto
Top video, Paul. One of the last Titanic survivors was Eva Hart who lived in Chadwell Heath in Essex and died in 1996. She was cremated at the South Essex Crematorium, Upminster and her ashes are buried under a tree in nearby St Chad's Park (Chadwell Heath). There is a plaque at the tree with her details on. There is also a pub called The Eva Hart in Chadwell Heath High Road, Romford. These are all very close to each other and would make a great video mate.
Good morning Paul lovely to see you 🥰
Getting spooky as I've been same location as you but still not bumped into you, great videos. Please keep up good work. Always interesting and a must watch
Will look forward to Titanic videos. Had three relatives on board. Only one survived. Thank you in advance
Hi Paul very good video as usual. I remember when you first did Mr. Hill. My goodness, I guess I've been watching you from the beginning. Take care and stay safe till next time. ❤
Hi Paul thanks for sharing I love watching your videos love from Holmfirth West Yorkshire 💙 💚
Thanks Paul for another interesting grave. Benny Hill. There won't be another Benny Hill..So sad. As you can see, I'm doing a lot of catching up. Reason? So buzy. The amount of funerals amongst the black community I've attended since the year began, it's probably about 30, others on stream, because some were on the same day. Friends say I should do my own video streaming 😂😂. Brilliant podcast Paul, keep it going. May Benny Hill RIP.
after seeing your video of benny last year l had to visit his grave and thank him for so much fun and entertainment.very sad the amount of people who died on the titanic who lived in southampton very moving visiting the museum in southampton.
Cheers for another great video
Morning Paul , I love your channel also Scott’s channel too ❤
Hi Paul sorry I missed your live I was working afternoon shift but watching the video now take it easy 👍
Frederick Fleet must of witnessed so much on that fateful day images that haunted him all his living days. The Titanic stories have always fascinated me 😞
Hi Paul, what a fab challenge and I've been watching things about titanic this past week when I can so thankyou for Fred fleet grave visit rip, and aww legend benny hill 🎵he drove the fastest milkcart in the west🎵😂 big miss of watching him with my dad legend to me much missed 😢 and I watch Scott too, he fab and I just watched his viper room tour lastnight well early hours so that was good and would love to see him and you together here showing him another legend grave George Michael so that I can't wait to see, love how down to earth you are when your saying about your glasses and technology not my fortay either so i'm the same (my age lol) so take care Paul watch where your walking 👍
Enjoyed this one.
Must get stuck into my family ancestry again as I am descended from a Fleet and have always been curious if Fredrick was a relation. The picture I’ve seen of Fredrick has a striking resemblance to family members descended from the Fleet name.
Titanic challenge sounds fascinating!
Thanks for sharing Paul 👍
I was expecting Benny Hill chase music when you went to Bennys grave😂
Can vaguely remember Benny Hill from my childhood. Keep up the good work Paul.
Great video paul, thank you 🙏 it would be great to see you with Scott on tape. 👍😊..
I think you suit the glasses....great work as usual 😊❤
Good afternoon Paul love your videos as always
Hi Paul, sorry missed the live, nice to see it now. I am about 5 minutes from Hollybrook. I am going to have my partner's ashes buried there soon in the cremation graves section, he died in January. Frederick Fleet's grave is beautiful. I sometimes take Benny a few flowers and after Gordon is buried I will do so more often. Lovely video, nice to see Hollybrook featured.
Hi Paul again 👋😊 may Benny Hill rest in peace 🕊️ and Fredrick Fleet 😢
Nice glasses Paul suit you, and also another great video.
Only now catching up with this. I'm recovering from surgery I had Monday. Thank you for uploading this Paul. ❤
Hope you get well soon 🙏
Good morning Paul. The Titanic vlog sounds fascinating!

Yeah Scott on tape, hope your well. Paul that was a lovely grave of the look out of Titanic Fredrick. Yeah thats a nice idea Paul.
Yes I can hear you and see you Paul. 😊
Thank you Paul xx
Cheeky sod! In bed?! Some of us were working! 😂 Great challenge, and although Wallace Hartley didn't survive the Titanic, his violin did! Extra bit of interest with that story! Not only did I miss you, I missed Scott too! 😢
Thanks Paul well done
Hi Paul. Have you ever thought about trying to get into a crematorium to film behind the scenes? You'd have to do this during office hours normally, and ask the crematoria permission but they usually are eager to facilitate visits to dudpel any myths. It's extremely interesting having done this several times around the West Midlands whilst showing trainee police officers the death process. Maybe your viewers would love to see what goes on? I know you have plenty of funeral director or cemetery staff followers, maybe they could assist you?
Good shout will enquire 🙏
I'd suggest you'd either telephone ahead of your visit, or turn up and knock the door and ask. You could also ask the crematorium grounds staff-I've found them all pretty helpful. Lodge HIll crematorium in Birmingham are very good. Good luck with this. Love the channel. Al.
Cheers, I conduct funerals sometimes as a celebrant, so will ask one of the crems I’ve done some work for in the past.
The titanic challenge sounds great and very good x
What gets me that he was born into the age of sail. And lived to see the jet age
Brilliant idea about Titanic survivors, look forward to seeing them.
A funny man was our benny loved by Spain America as well his hometown of Southampton and legend and a lovely person
Hallo Paul
War heute morgen vom Chat überrascht!!!! Konnte nicht teilnehmen!!!! Hatte keinen Zugriff auf diesen Chat. Leider

Danke Paul 🙆🙏
Good afternoon Paul, Titanic ❤xx

The is for taking the time that was excellent ✌
Robert Hitchens one of the quartermasters on the titanic is buried in Aberdeen Trinity cemetery, if you are ever up this way. He was the one that refused to go back and save more passengers and argued with molly brown.
Loved benny hill so funny
Hi Paul you are doing amazing good morning
After some digging Alan is in Ramalley Cemetery, Eastleigh. I've emailed the clerk to try and fund exact location. Alan used to party at my mums parents in Mereside, Blackpool in the 60s when he plated at Blackpool so I'd like to know too. I've had a reply saying Eastleigh Borough Council deal with enquiries so I've emailed them. Let's see. We know now 😉
40 years ago I lived next toThe house in the background at start of video , where Frederick Fleets grave is was then just a field full of forest shrubs even though it isnt a forest area. (that house is on Lordswood Road) Memories and all that, Dan😁
Nice to see you in Southampton, if you go to the other cemetery at the common you might find some famous people their 😊
There is the vice captain of the titanic in the cemetery where Jamie bugler is hurried

Good morning Paul missed the live x
This looks like a beautiful cemetery
Thanks
Apologies for missing the live. With the recent tragedy on the news I was watching a CZcams with Tony Robinsons trip to the titanic with James Cameron last dive. Was an interesting watch but made me think deeply what happened that tragic night.
Afternoon Paul I live up the road so next time your visiting pop in for a cupp 😊
On the end of my street in south Wales 🏴 there's a water mill where Artie Moore was the first person to hear the SOS from HMS Titanic there's a little plaque on the mill
Thanks Paul , the love was awesome ! x
Back to childhood memories. Probably wouldn't be PC in this day and age but made us laugh back in the day didn't it.
Love anything to do with the Titanic I went to the Chicago museum to see the artifacts that was displayed. I hope to see more of the survivor's.
Fred died only a few years before us guys most of us was born!nice to see he lived after the titanic disaster ,bet it haunted him throughout his life he was fifteen on titanic ,bet he had a tale to tell.great video Paul ,yes glasses essential but a pain when you mix them up half windows one pair full windows pair of glasses carry two different pairs.a rumour about benny someone dug into his grave when just interred ,they say !to look at him and take items a terrible rumour I believe true😮.wish it wasn’t true ,benny hill such a friendly soul bit like you Paul.
Have you thought about going to the Titanic memorial in East Park, Southampton? It is near the traffic lights opposite Watts Park and the big War memorial. There used to be the bird cages next to it, but the birds have all gone now.
I will do one day 🙏
Wow scott on tape is a legend love his stuff
I fixed Jackie Mudie's headstone (Blackpool & Stoke) if you're ever up in the Stoke area and cleaned up the stone of the developer of the finger print (Henry Faulds) Different cemeteries but fairly close together. I can get specifics to you if you ever want it Paul.
Good morning Paul, sorry iam late just been watching my old school row at the Henley Regatta. PS so far so good 2/2 against Monmouth School and Llandaff Rowing club. Keep going BBC(Brisbane Boys'College)🖤🤍💚. Keep up the Good Work Paul love Benny Hills Grave.
Good morning Paul 💙
Yet more proof God was a genius and in front of the curve.
Your ears are perfectly placed and perfectly shaped for the temple tips to keep your glasses in place. (the temples are the long arms on the side of the frame and the temple tips are the 'hooks' that fit over your ears for a snug fit to keep your glasses in place).
And your nose is perfectly placed and perfectly shaped to rest your glasses on, at the top of the nose for close vision, and down your nose so you can look over the top of the frames for distant vision.
Like I said, genius. Surprised you haven't cottoned on to this marvellous technical innovation. 😉😊
