@@merrymermaid For further info: Fernando Frias, episode director and actor who Alfeo de la Vaca, posted a little photo collage on his instagram on December 15th - and later took it down. The pics were selfies he took with a sea of cast and crew in the background. He's holding a clapper that says 'That's a wrap' and there's a caption that says 'Thank you, beautiful New Zealand'. So we can infer the pics are from the last day of shooting season 2. One of them shows Nathan standing near Frias and flipping off the camera. He's wearing a new costume and they let him grow out his beard.
I actually think Nathan being a little tense in the beginning turned out perfect for the characters and the context. You can see Stede's crew hasn't been together for a long time and this nervous energy Lucius gives off really brings this performance to a new level. It's because Stede is so completely incompetent and Lucius doesn't want to actually do the pirating part of pirating it makes perfect sense he would always be in a state of mild panic. This really makes for some fantastic comedic moments, like Stede's whole thing in a republic of pirates. And even more so, you can kinda see him grow confidence when Stede has Blackbeard's help, and the crew is starting to come together.
For my own purposes: 31:15 "does anybody remember benders" 32:40 baby lost a lot of hair 36:50 just a shop 36:56 oh blood brothers soundtrack (con's back catalogue 😏) 37:55 "cool glad that worked" 46:00 Nathan being incredibly humble 😌 48:14 "we can see the bald spot!"
Christian's delivery is hilarious. When he say's , "That was awful," I got "Little Wooden Boy" vibes. He does it again in Ssn 2 with the line about ," What the hell is happening with towels?" 😂😂😂
I dont usually cry when I laugh really hard, but this, two amazing talented people panicing over technology, and running around like a chicken when nothing is working? That is sooooo me!😅 I love these guys so much, and this will now be my emotional support video!😢❤
When he said, ”you wouldn’t know this” I was like, what did he say! Nathan didn’t know how the ship felt like during the recording? But then I remembered that there can be two reasons why Lucius wouldn’t be on the same ship as Wee John. First and most likely, Stede picks up the marooned crew which we know he found, Lucius is obviously not among them, and they get a different ship to hunt down the Revenge. Or Lucius is on land, less likely for a whole season but still plausible. Third but least likely, Lucius died. I personally don’t think anyone would ever forgive Ed if that was the case sooo, not verry likely.
