Don't like Game of Elden Ring but i'm hapy to see them keeping busy. It's good. It means that we can soon forget all about this and think of the next souls game :)
It's so nice that there is at least one company in the AAA space that consistently puts out fantastic games. It's refreshing every time they release something.
So we're just going to ignore the stuttery mess, 60 fps lock, utterly inexplicable keyboard layout, non-rebindable buttons, map that didn't know what a mouse is? I've seen 2000s PC ports better than that from a technical standpoint. What I want to know is did any of that get improved? Is it a competent PC game finally or does Japan still not know what a PC is?

@@kenomenorias3200 Getting a better rig removed the shader compilation, removed the fps cap, fixed keyboard and mouse functionality? Wow, why didn't I think of that? Should've gotten a 4090 and the game would've automatically reprogrammed itself. My bad.
@@SuparmunBinBatmen I just want to know if they fixed the game you blind fanboys. The fact those things existed in the launch game is not disputable, they're just facts. It's not subjective whether the game lets you rebind certain keys or interact with the map using the mouse or has a FPS cap by default.
Mohg can be accessed via Varré's questline or a teleporter in the consecrated snowfield ❤ for those still searching
Yes, and for Varré's questline, the online mode isn't necessary. An invasion sign can be found in Altus Plateau: Magnus, the Beast Claw (in the Writheblood Ruins) and replaces the 3 invasions online.

@@WOLFxSMOKE I'm only a semi-serious player - I'm about haf-gud? - and I'm averse to pain: if I don't have to fight a sadistically difficult boss, I may just skip it. Not so now, though. I'm going to gird my loins for battle . . . and maybe get three-quarter-gud.
@@AretaicGames hes honestly pretty light ignoring the second phase. You can kinda skim through his second phase using the tear u get from the npc invasion in the second church of markia (elenora iirc) in your mixed physick.

Making the "mini sequel" to Elden Ring as a big, and relatively expensive, DLC is a pretty good idea. The devs can reuse the same engine as is, while concentrating on just making new content.

From Software truly are the hero devs of our generation. They release banger after banger with uncompromising vision and no micro transactions.
I'd be maidenless again for a couple of weeks/months. 5000 plus hours spent on the original game.
Good thing about Mogh, the best rune farming spot is the little ledge outside of the lake. Just dispense of all the albinaurics there and walk to the site of grace and repeat. Also, ironically Mogh(pronounced like toe) is weak to the bleed status.

If you don't have a good weapon with inbuilt aoe to kill them fast or a spell, use a bow on the same place and shoot the bird across the ravine, he'll run at you and fall down. You'll get about 11k runes per kill and he dies in 2 seconds, rest at bonfire, repeat. So you'll get alot of runes aswell within 1 hour (more with that yellow chickenfoot consumable, I don't recall the name).
I'm pretty bummed I don't enjoy this dlc. It feels more or less the same. And something I really loved about elden ring is how unique it is. Shadow is stupid hard and I beat the main game 10 times over. Really sad:(
Honestly, I'm more annoyed at how empty it feels. The map could have been 1/3 smaller and not suffered for it at all. There's so little to do considering how big it is.

@@FellTreeZthat’s my disappointment too. The original map had a lot more content, lots of riding between destinations instead of exploring, as there is nothing to find. Also the scaling is weird, it is tricky until you get all the scar shards (sic) then it’s too easy once you get them (except for final boss, which I beat with a specific fingerprint shield build).
Man, I'm so glad I live in an era of gaming where someone can say "I've only played 80 hours" with a straight face.

It's rather grim and so a game to focus on in the chilly winter rather than a sunny Mediterranean summer. What is fun in the occasional spin is that one can focus on parrying rather than the blasted rolling.
i remember when I first played Elden Ring, you could parkour your way over the wall into moghs boss fight and if you didnt use the door the fight didnt start. So you would hop over the wall and see Mogh just standing there and you could kill the afk Mogh with no effort.
I think its been patched out though
You can parkour down near the save point before moghs boss fight and unload him as well. It still works
If your trying to rush Mohg, do White Varre's questline and you can get there pretty quick.
I've read the level doesn't matter cuz enemies scale to you which is scary cuz I can't beat these games without overleveling
Spirit springs can be opened using mohgs shackle instead of finding small rocks to open them helpful tip

Good to see, that you went into the DLC with a +8 Flask xD. Having it fully upgraded makes the game way more easy
just to clarify: your level does NOT matter in the dlc zone. you only need to be strong enough to beat those 2 bosses, and then its an entirely new leveling system that's completely separate from the base game. if you are struggling you need to go explore the new zone and collect those fragments to get stronger in this new zone.

I wanna play the DLC so badly but I'm just not willing to relearn how to play Souls Like after a long hiatus from the genre.. The frustrations and time commitment is just too much to ask for..
it only takes 30 hours to do all remembrances of base game or 20 even if you're skilled enough

I'm not sure how someone can be super casual with only 40 hours in, but still somehow have the expansion unlocked. I bought the game recently as my first souls game I put any real time in and I'm 45 hours in and nowhere near done the base game.
I love how hard the difficulty is in the dlc , it lets fromsoftware go wild because its essentially endgame content and not something you need for accesability , like the first game where you overleveled quite easy early on
They just don't have a clue about how to balance a game and this is true since Demon's Souls, but they have understood that the higher the difficulty, the more they will be hyped by their fanatic fanbase. So why disappoint them?

I've never been a fan of how they let you access DLC that you already paid for. You can spend money and get 0% out of it because you aren't good enough. I beat the base game and said "Finally, I'm done."

Having spent over 800 hours with the game, I think this is going to be enjoyable. It's good to have some new areas to play around with. I guess I am ready to start then. I have killed all bosses under the sky and the land itself.
If you hanvnt killed Mohg, you probably dont love the game enough to buy the dlc.
I got to DLC with 211 lv cha. strong mobss took 4-5 shot to kill me, but I kiiled it faster. But when i leveled up reverse and scadoss tree i think, things getting easier

Im loving it so far but.... Im lvl 300 something on ng+7 so idk if that has anything to do with this but it gets old being 1-2 shot by EVERY enemy (besides the shadow nobles)
Incase you dont know you can almost go strait to mohg at the start of the game beat godrick and do varres quest there you go

Difficulty is pretty much consistent with previous Fromsoft expansions. they intended as post endgame content, not something you jump into right away, that's why they're always hidden behind later portions of base game.
all the big streamers hopping on the buzz of this release to capitalize on viewership have never played or beaten the game are currently rushing to get ready for the dlc. i wonder how theyll fair once it comes out lol.
after 148hrs am only missing 2 bosses from the base game and mohg isn't one of them... but i followed ranni's questline and burned the erd tree which locked me out a portion of the game
No other game enemies / Bosses react like Fromsoft games, that's why they're hard / challenging.

Even at level 318 in new game plus 3 the shadow lands felt pretty challenging . I don’t have many of the ashes yet like 2 levels in each

I'm at level 170 on NG+. They hit hard, but it's doable. Maybe don't wear caster armor and then cry that you get 2-hitted...
does anyone know if in the DLC there is going to be a INT/FAITH infusion for weapons?
I don't like these reviews that are all positive. Elden Ring has a ton of issues and these should be brought up, these issues become increasingly noticeable in the DLC too.
I think that Mohg is the perfect Skill Check for the DLC

Im surprised it took my buddy only 4 hours to finish the dlc, was so pumped to buy it but ill wait for a sale cause 60 dollars for 4 hours of gameplay is just wild.
There is significantly more than that. Only 3 of the bosses are required. But there are 8 more

A game being “too hard” isn’t valid criticism. Gaming is a hobby, not unlike guitar or rock climbing. As such, it demands varying levels of skill and experience. It doesn’t make sense for me to criticize playing guitar because opeth wrote a song I struggle to play. It doesn’t make sense for me to criticize rock climbing because I lack the skill to climb the first flat iron.
The difficulty of souls games is intended. It is the way the artist wants to present their art. If Elden Ring is “too hard” for you, that sucks. I think it’s a great game that everyone should enjoy! That said, there is absolutely nothing stopping you from getting better.

Don't knock shooting that bird a kazilion times. It's a pain getting there so it's kindof a reward, ja ? Also, you can't get there until you've gotten your first rune by killing Godrick so there's that.
Cheesy caster is what I had for my second play thru of the game but this DLC will punish you for it lol so I had to learn how to slash and dash and shield smash.. so fun lol
I am level 435….and I feel under leveled….Malenia is easier than every boss I’ve played so far.

Listen if I beat Moge anyone can, I’m not a Dark Soul player my favorite and the intro was Blood Borne which is also my favorite, so if I did this then anyone that beat any Souls game can, because I never did.

Played 80 hours. My first playthrough took 200 hours to fully explore with no guides or Internet xD
High end of the developers estimate 30-40 hour run time for the expansion ( I played 50 ).
Trust me, I know I'm not on the high end of time sunk into Elden Ring LOL. I play loads of new games every month, so that'll never be me.

Its not - you still need Mods for this.
The sad part about the developer is that when it comes to performance fixes or add ons like widescreen they are Deaf to listen on those, have no idea why, might be engine issiue or something but if mods can make it so the developers should be able.
Ya didn't see any ultrawide options when checking the resolution (I have one), so looks like its not there.

I dont like the ramping up of difficulty. I like the souls like games, but they belong to everyone, not just the experts. DS 2 showed this, as did DS 1 and Demons souls.
In addition. I must say I hate this development that everything has to be extremely hard. Its not GG anymore. Its "play this boss 140 times to dont make a single misstake", I really hate being shut out of my most loved games.

Elden ring was the only souls game I've played. Game is hard and I'm not very good at all parrying or timing attacks, or judging the size of enemy hit boxes. I didn't finish the game which isn't unusual for me. 68 hours played. Don't see my self playing this one. Your mic is dirty bro. Clean it please, it distracts from your handsome face.

I would be buying it for the story, game design, and world design. All of which is GOD TIER. However, I feel they are charging me for answers to a story I should have gotten in the base game, and the enemy design and world design are things I can get watching other people play the game just fine, and the combat is not good enough to justify the purchase for me.
I don't even really like criticizing the game so I didn't elaborate on any of that, but that is why. Still I hope people who do get it enjoy it fully in my stead.

@@danielwoods3896 No, it's poor game design. These hats weren't around until the 1930's or so. Elevators have been in existence for THOUSANDS of years. Just like reusing assets in the DLC. Portable cannons were around in the early 14th century. You'd be best served to sit this one out, chump.

And no, magical elevators that can transport people hundreds of feet deep with no maintenance haven’t been around for thousands of years, and neither have massive shield cannons that launch a ball of explosive flame. It’s a ridiculously silly thing to nitpick in a DLC that is almost as large as the base game.
