I love how grounded this series is and then there's an engine trying to jump off the side of the dock in the next scene
I really like how not only Lord Dexby sounds like he voices literally every engine he owns, but also he appears almost everywhere in the show
Bride will never truly die. Her spirit will live on.
That was heart breaking. I hope something good happens to Bride on season 2
A fantastic conclusion to a fantastic first season Andy! Its still amazing to see how much you have improved and innovated over the years! Very proud to call you my friend, am fiercely proud of you, well done mate!
TOP TIER EPISODE! I really enjoyed this one. I love how this episode shows how much the Island cares for the residents. Not only that we learned more about Bride as a character. I always thought her name was Bride, so nice curveball there. I also enjoyed Seb. Usually I imagine him as this chaotic being. However it was nice to see a more down to earth and caring side of Seb.
Bride...no...
Man, What can one said that hasn't been said already. It's just bloody amazing! You've created an island full of life, the history, the lore, the people, the railways and of course, the engines. It all works so well and seems so realistic and believable. The Overall story in this episode plays just right on the heart strings, coupled with the astounding soundtrack it's enough to make you cry (Which I admittingly did)
You know I realize this is something thats never really been covered by all the talking engine series on youtube. Whats the last day of an engine like? Whats it like for them knowing that after decades of service their time is up. This approached it perfectly, and that speech from her at the end was touching. I don't think I've ever legitimately felt any other emotions besides interest when watching these shows until now.
A great end to Season 1 bro, it's a pleasure to set my piano on fire for you 🙏🙏❤❤
I will always be amazed by your ability to blend humour and emotion with the perfect measures to create something brilliant, this was a very emotional episode, and I really am on the edge of my seat waiting to see what season 2 is going to bring us.
I am utterly amazed. You've improved so much since the original run of SVR and this was an excellent conclusion to a fantastic first season. What I loved best about this was the emotional aspect, you really took the time to establish Bride as a character and that's what I think made the emotional impact really work. Utterly superb work.
Man, WHAT AN ENDING. This really tugged at the heartstrings, and was so beautifully done that it made me quite emotional. Although I am extremely sad to see Bride go, the way you have rounded up her story to such a satisfying conclusion with such a heartfelt send-off is just incredible. I have been a fan of this series and indeed this channel for many years, from the original series onwards, and it is truly awe inspiring and incredible to watch how it has grown into something you can truly be so incredibly proud of. Hands down one of the best stories I have ever watched - the perfect blend of humor, joy, sadness and somber moments with heartwarming story twists and turns, accompanied by an incredibly well-detailed route, epic score and wonderful story telling. I rate it 1000000000/10.
An amazing conclusion, and just between this one, the unexpected BS to be seen had nearly made me fall off my chair when I first saw the scene starting at
Bride old girl we will be standing by
I hope bride gets saved from scrap by someone
Great story video Westward! The part when the back engine said; “Thanks for waiting flap face!” Got me. 😂
That ending scene of Bride at the switch off of the mainline almost felt as though she was "choosing her own path" so to speak. Wouldn't a signalman have already lined her for Swindon by the time she got there? I don't think she is taking orders from BR as easy as she let on...
