Evelyn Healy plays a Paddy Fahey composition at the Senior Fiddle competition in 2008. The video was originally posted on the Comhaltas Ceóltoirí Éireann website: comhaltas.ie/music/detail/comh...
Agreed....she has a good fiddle ...but it's not all in the fiddle...she has great sound balance and I'm wondering if she has a classical training as many of the young fiddlers have.
fantastic playing !!
Out of all the videos and versions I've heard of this jig, this is the most subtle and yet intricately improvised one. On par with Martin Hayes!!
What a lovely punchy style. Thanks for sharing.
