@@tlr-nut7275 ... I think you missed the point that those engine options are part of a package. Back in the 60s you could get a stripped down car from Ford or Chevy with a big block police package and dual exhaust. Requests became popular enough that Ford actually started making a "street rod" with a big block, "delete back seat" as a package for those who just wanted to go fast. Look up the Ford T-Bolt. (pre Mustang) Ford eventually saw the $$$ and turned the Mustang into the Shelby Mustang for quite a few extra $$$ as a package deal. Despite the "package deals" people were still able to order pretty much whatever they wanted if the factory made it. 4 speed and sway bars in a wagon? 409 4 bbl v-8 in a wagon? Sure, why not? Today? Given what rare Mopars get at auction, I wonder if this might be a good candidate for restoration. Probably walking a thin line between money into it vs money you could get back - I guess it depends on your skillset and how much you value every hour you'd spend on it. Then again, forget profit motive - how great would it be to just do the restoration as a hobby, have your son or daughter and maybe some friends help then just keep the damn thing? Sounds awesome to me!

This car should absolutely be restored.

What the heck! That's $125-150k up here in Canada fully restored with that 440 updated and completed... I've seen worse brought back on other media channels. It's rarity and beauty necessitates it!

I like the 1970 Coronet front bumper and how it surrounds the head lights. I’d prefer the 2 door post superbee, the underrated muscle car where the charger and the roadrunner received most of the attention.

The R/T may have been top-of-the-heap, but if I was a young guy stopping into the dealership in November of 1969 with some combat pay burning a hole in my pocket, I’d have probably ordered a Super Bee! Hopefully, it would still be sitting in my garage today for Saturday afternoon cruises……👨‍🦳

I think, when you went in the store with your R/T money (3 year old body style), you would have bought a Charger or the brand new Challenger. Well, that's what nearly everyone else did. And why there were so few. 2615? I wonder if there was even one per dealership. Perhaps sent out by Dodge, not even ordered.
