It didn’t matter in the end, but I’d have charged with the plasmacyte first rather than the destroyer to stop overwatch. Also remember to roll for regenerating CP when using the reroll stratagem. Keep up the good work.
Yeah same thing I was expecting, but he wanted to prevent the plasmacyte from being eliminated from the overwatch and then power up the Skorpekh. Yeah I missed one reroll I think :V Thank you!

Great batrep as always guys! I suggest having the hammer of sunderance in the battle cannon + extra ap tank ace, its gonna work great! Also squads can pack heavy weapon teams for free too!

yeah but in 500 point games it's probably better don't have heavy weapons in the squads, they will move around to take obj easier ^^ It depends on who is the enemy too ofc
@@TabletopWarbands great thx! And yeah you have a point... if any missile lauchers are efficient even on the move since they have frag (d6 shots) and krack for tanks or mid infantry, personal preference though cause they look soo cool hehe

Having Claudio Promoted was a good move on the part of Guard command.
It's nice to see Guard finally catch a break. Now if only they could get that new codex already.
On the other side, poor Necrons. They got their codex so early, they missed out on all the power creep this edition.
Yeah for real! I'm afraid tho that Astra will end up the same as the Necrons for the next edition 😅 But let's focus on the present, for now that buff is good stuff :D

YES GUARD WINS! Only advice I'd say is guard should also run heavy weapons too. Missing out on some easy lascannon
I thought about putting them on, but I preferred not to. In 500 points I need to move troops to conquer objectives and heavy weapons squads are penalized for movement

This time going first seemed like a sure win. Only the luck of the dice changed that.
Small scale games (even bigger ones too I think) really seem to suffer from bad balance hinging on who goes first.

Yes that's true, I'd like to see something like the kill team mechanics in W40k. An entire turn when an army can do everything at once it's difficult to balance, especially in low points games.

By my count think the guard has a win/loss record of 2-5 right now. Always sad to see them lose but I still get hyped seeing them in action and getting the rare win.

During the first round as necrons you could use overlord "my will will be done" to increase hit chance of immortals or warriors by +1. Warriors hitting on 2+ are good. Also it would be good idea to run plasmacyte charge first :D

in first and seconds rank fire the plasma is "rapid fire 2", 2 hit vs the destroyer 11:19 min
Nope, "First Rank Fire..." works only on lasguns. Plasma don't get the effect of the order.

damn, not sure if i want to play the guard after this awful slaughter. They seemed like cool looking troops, but they really aren’t very durable. But it just goes to show how important armour is for the astra militarum.
Guards have a new codex now, it's a new release, they are so much better now 😉

I'm not sure if i am missing smt, but why the overwatch against skorpekh does wound automatically?
It's not the overwatch, it's the new Astra rule: Hammer of the Emperor. Every 6 to hit automatically wounds the target when they make a ranged attack
