      I am an attacking chop player both forehand and back hand when the ball is high and close to the net, This method works superbly and you win the point most of the time.

    As I play as a chopper now, this chop smash is a useful shots when near the table or for placing the touch shots but with more force backspins and for variations of Chops, but I think these shots are kinda difficult to control and it is racket's dependable too, the more Off the racket the more speed, the more hard to do these shots accurately, but the more best control or Defensive racket the more control , the more accurate the shots can be mastered, so we could see less speedy Off player would do these shots, and more often we saw Defensive players or more all round players can do these shots. Good tips and technique Yang-Yang, thanks 🙂👌👍

    Coach Jia, nice video. I have several questions hopefully you can answer.
    Where is the contact point on the ball? Is it similar to a long push but contact on the side? I see some choppers using it. Should the technique focus on spin or speed? Thanks!
    右手为例,如果半高不转一般击球点在球的那个部位?如果球比较转在球的哪里?是前臂发力还是手腕发力为主?这是一种变相的批长吧?一般看削球手用的比较多。是突出速度还是旋转?谢谢!

    I actually found this teqnique by myself and thought i was the only weird player. I was playing against someone who can defend 90% of my regular smashes and i missed more than 25% of them, so i was forced to use the chopsmash on high balls, and this was truly undefendable. Truly, unless you specifically train to defend against this, you cant return the ball.

  • @DavidWong46798
    @DavidWong46798 Před 4 lety

    Thanks instructor. I think it is a very good technique. It is easy to use, and is powerful. It gives a great un-expectation to your opponent, with a strong down side spin which the opponent can easily misjudge and not returning the ball to your table, or return a barbecue ball which you can chop smash again or smash directly, to different parts of the table. Talking about physics, it is a mixture of down spin, horizontal side spin and vertical side spin. The mixing ratio can be varied a bit, according to the height of the ball, and the angle you do the chopping. It Is easy to send the ball to different parts of the table, as an asset. When you continue smashing a lober, and not getting the point, a sudden chop smash can change the expectancy of the opponent, and win the point. Great. You can also vary the point when you do it, in the rising moment, the highest point or the falling moment, to break the expectancy of your opponent.
