Thank you for the tutorial! My earrings didn't come out flat - the entire earrings folds and curls up. Would this be the hook or yarn size? Do you have any suggestions for making it flatter? Thank you!
Oh really? I’m so sorry to hear that. May be the reason is the material. I think it’s better to try stiffening it by using some binder glue?
I would spray with water and block with stick pins to a piece of cardboard or similar material and let dry. After drying you could paint on a thin layer of mod podge which is a clear drying water based sealer. This will also stiffen the material and make the material strong. Hope this helps.
Mine did the same and I think it is due to tight stitches. I stretched every round out with my fingers as I completed them and then wet blocked onto my ironing board with pins. That did the trick! I’m going to stiffen them with glue/ water base solution when they finish blocking 😊
I know the post kind of late but I definitely had that problem when I first started crocheting I was too focused on getting the stitches right I didn’t notice that the yarn was squeezing around my hand. More than likely the stitches are tight if you hold the yarn looser it should come out flat
Me too,it doesn't come flat , and I did it more than one time to make sure that I didn't made any mistake, at last ,I iron it ,and it became flat
