Dropshot Micro Deadbaits For Canal Perch. Big Fish Landed

  • This was an idea i had last minuet before popping out for an evening session on the canal. Dropshot small dead baits for some of the bigger perch i've been seeing on the canal recently. It worked! No huge perch, but plenty and some good size pike too! Don't forget to subscribe for more and follow the link below to my instagram.

    Mate! You never blank! These videos make me want to try lure fishing again, lost one pike at about 12lb on the canal before. I’m mainly a carp fisherman so that explains why I have no luck 🍀 😂

      Makes us Carp Fisherman look like right twats does this bloke. Makes me want to try lure fishing too! If you have any suggestions on decent lightweight tackle that is cheap for this kind of light lure fishing please let me know.

      @@mk2nathan i use a Shakespeare firebird with 10lb line and a wire trace. They are cheap and hold up well. Small little rods so easy to carry up and down the canal no problem and just remember a landing net. Lures you can get online and multi packs for cheap. 👍

      @mk2nathan Před 3 lety +2

      @@all.round_fishing Thanks for the reply mate. Also would you recommend the 6ft, 7ft, 8ft, 9ft or 10ft rod. Thinking of buying the 7. Also being totally naive to lure fishing, is this set up okay to target smaller perch as well as double figure pike? I live on the Grand Union Canal where I know people who have caught 20lb Pike from my local stretch so would be good to know before purchasing.

    • @all.round_fishing
      @all.round_fishing Před 3 lety +1

      @@mk2nathan I use the 6 but a 7ft would be perfect in my opinion. I live on the GUC aswell. Just make sure you have a bit of a loser drag so they can still run (like playing a large carp) a long wire trace and 10lb braid. Practice makes perfect. Chop and change rigs and tactics, take long walks up and down the canal, talk to other fishermen to see if they have tips for that area. Try find little nooks and weedy patches where the predators might hide 👍 hope this helps mate

      @@heyitsmetrousers4399 like I said, I eat the odd one. Nothing barbaric about that and I’m English. You don’t know what you’re missing 👍🏻

      @@hoggarththewisesmeagol8362 I wasn’t replying to you it was to the original commenter. Each to their own, the waters near me couldn’t support people taking a pike home each. Plus I don’t eat much fish anyway. The Europeans have decimated the fish stocks near me and the largest pike you’ll find is 6-12 lbs, it’s quite sad actually.

    i think its appalling fishing dead or live roach, even worse barbed hooks. your care for the fish you catch is just as bad , in one of your videos you actually through the fish back in the water, all be them small they are live creature.
