Hello! :) Before pressing the steam function button, turn the side steam control knob to the middle or even close to the minimum position. Then press the steam function button and start increasing the steam flow gradually from the side knob. Please note that the frother's idea is to get steam for the coffee/cappuccino and not (hot) water at all.
