    I've been multiplying like this for 52 years (since I was 8 years old). Although I show nothing but the answer (I keep the "carries" in my head).

    After watching all your videos Sir, Ive realised that all calculations we learned from elementary stages are a waste of time.       +Suresh Aggarwal thanks for reply..I think the above method is applicable only for single digit carry over..wen i tried multiplying 987 and 654 in step3 i got output as 124..wer 4 has to be taken out and 12 has to be carryover right?

      step 2: 8*4 + 7*5 + 2 = 69.. 9 is written and 6 as carry over
      step 3: 9*4 + 6*7 + 8*5 + 6 = 36+42+40+6 = 124..
      step 4: 9*5 + 6*8 + 12 =100.. if i consider 0 as output it is not in the expected result..
