Skoda really need to update exterior design of octavia. Esp back and side profile it looks very boxy and outdated compared to all cars in that segment.

Makes me wanna share my recent experience.
I did emergency travel and my "Jeep Compass Ltd +" was LITERALLY LOADED with month's of stuff to keep me occupied with. With rear seat folded and a place for one pax (passenger) to sit. A navigator in front, this was gonna be my second 'golden quadrilateral' trip (Mumbai - Gurgaon).
I started from Mumbai and left for Navi Mumbai to pick my first pax. We started from Navi Mumbai by 10:30 am and arrived Udaipur by 11pm, our first halt.
Second pax occupying rear seat, we started at 10:30a.m. again, and reached Gurgaon peripheral highway that connects to Sonipat directly, a beautiful Stint!
Crossing Haryana by 7p.m. I was entering Himachal by midnight. After dropping my two pax in Shimla, at 3a.m., I parked this beast 🔥○|||||||○❤ in Mashobra hills.
Without fatigue, this 1900 km trip was done by the second day! I still had the energy ⚡, had a nice warm cuppa ☕ before I could call it a night.
Only to wake up to a beautiful seven valley view!

The sales and network question mark remains for Škoda as well. Despite having everything as the best in segment, the demand is not surging because of the poor after sales service and the high cost of spare parts and their less availability. Subtracting these shortcomings, it makes for a great proposition.
I will close my eyes and pick the Skoda Octavia....not only it has the best equipments between both of them but also it has a great opportunity in the tuners world....

Octavia is a whopping 10lakhs more expensive. Civic has more features but jeep compass has better driving dynamics and power and suitable for Indian roads. Compass is my choice and I've gone for it.

VW/Skoda make best cars in their respective segments. They are miles ahead in fit and finish, build sheet quality, zero cost cuttings and drive quality. Starting from Polo, then Ameo, Vento, Rapid, Octavia, Superb and Passat no other brand can best them in quality in this price range. Sadly we live in an uneducated country where unsafe cars are top sellers.
Its not a wierd comparison, it all makes sense there has to be a confusion between these two segments.😊

It's really a foolish to compare a sedan and SUV. Comparison should be done with the same rival segment. If you have compared with other Honda's SUV then it could be a very reasonable. This doesn't make sense....
Worlds best petrol engine by Honda but not for Indian roads and fuel conditions!!!

Interior quality - both are good, but compass seems a notch higher
Interior space - without a doubt, civic, it's shocking how average the rear seat is in the compass
Safety - both offer a comprehensive safety list, so it's a tie
After sales - without a doubt, the civic
Reliability - I'd take the civic
Maintenance - civic
Overall, for the enthusiast, it's the compass and for the chauffeured businessman, it's the Civic

Skoda's network?? Practically Honda is better in terms of overall convenience. Compass is unbeatable if you're an enthusiast andonly care about performance. Skoda is literally good for nothing.

SUVs are sedan killers but people should know that sedans are well designed and have really nice cuts and most of the sedans look gorgeous unlike the SUVs which are like amazon courier boxes.

I would definitely buy the Innova crysta bcoz it provides luxury, power, features, reliability and extra 2 seats than both of them.
Yes it misses some features like sunroof
But it obviously provides more premium feel
It misses out on features like sunroof, front parking sensors, dsg, better infotainment system, better quality levels, Park assist system, better engine, virtual cockpit, ambient lighting (seven colours or more maybe) and an RS batch!😀

Since I have driven all 3 personally. I dont feel compass is not a driving pleasure car. It too lacks on certain features like cruise control. Octavia is loaded with driving comfort and performance. But the after sales maintaince make u cry . Considering the resale value we regret a lot. Civic maintaince is easy. Gud fuel efficiency. But lacks in performance, rear boot body quality is too poor. It should have a panoramic roof . But I has normal sunroof from the city. But considering the quality of the Indian road and maintaince cost and fuel efficiency. 120hp engine is enough. And I will go with civic.

in most of the reviews comments suggests Octavia is more popular but numbers shows otherwise. Civic is selling twice than that of Octavia. Why & How. What i see is except power civic is better in every respect. Lane watch and Brake hold is boon while driving along with Honda's reliability. But nobody talks about Octavia's Ground Clearance, Skoda's Service, service cost & reliability. Also hands free parking is useless in India. And if you are enthusiast driver why would you use it. Mainly we dont have roads for driving fast. So Indians needs reliability and look for sensible option. Also it has 5 star rating for safety. And its way better looking than that of Octavia.
I think after sales service is also a big issue. Although the Octavia makes sense, Skoda's service quality and high cost are a big problem. If you want to keep the car longer than 5 years, then Honda has a BIG edge over the other two.
