How to Kill Worm Boss Solo "Gorm'gant" (Modern Warfare 3 Zombies)

- How to solo the Act IV final boss "Gorm'gant". This will allow you to unlock the locked diary sigil and unlock rifts to obtain the new classified schematics.
This was my second attempt and with this method I was able to complete it solo.

you can shoot the worm while underground and it make him pop back out and there is a roof behind you where the worm wont send those things out and it wont attack, plus someone actually already uploaded a solo video of this I think before you did
Extra tip: Get 2 turret circuets since it spawns next to the buildings on each side and hellhound from t3 zone since he can rev you even if he is not there. Bring sentry gun as well to go faster and have min 2 self revs in backpack in case you f up

Yea turns out sentry turrets and the circuit turrets are not needed at all if you follow this guide. Using the building to hide is so much better. It allows you to get to the ammo crate easy. Also, molotov work great for getting him out of the ground. ✌️
I’ve used turret circuits for this boss they do less damage than just shooting it with your gun it’s literally pointless

I had a t3 hellhound and it got 1 shot by the purple orbs
Managed to do it solo thanks to your guide. I just stayed up at the building dodging the lasers and attacks. Whenever it burrowed underground I'd jump down to resupply to prevent it from healing. Difficult, but possible.
so, my sollution for getting the worm to come back up from burrowing is to just shoot the place where you see the dirt move when the worm is underground. worked 9/10 times for me :D
Damn. Wouldn't work for me. Stayed underground got all his health back. Died to the storm. Never resurfaced lol

I just beat it solo using that building strat. Heres my class and what was in my bag:
MTZ-556 (tac stance build) PaPIII, purple rarity -
-sakin muzzle
-bruen bastion underbarrel
-50 rnd mag
-MTZ grip
-MTZ stockless stock
Secondary was a legendary holger 26 PaPII (from tier 3 wall buy)
3 self rev
2 kasimer
3 circuit boards
Rest of my bag in plates
Decoys, thermites, juggernaut, all perks, and frenzied guard.
Also, near the electricity ring thing u have to get kills in is the dog house. Super easy to get one, and distracted the boss a ton, very helpful.

I pretty much came up with this before seeing the video, however in both of my attempts, the worm burrowed underground and didn’t come back up for minutes at a time even if I went down to the beach. I died to the purple orbs on my first run and on my second run I died to the storm because it closes in on you as the timer goes down, eventually leaving you with no room to move without getting ticked until finally the safe zone completely disappeared. First run was a test run, second run I was down to almost no health and I died to storm because the worm stayed underground for so unbelievably long.
Thanks for this! I also play solo, simply a habit from CW zombies at this point to just do everything I want to do at my own pace. I've watched MrRoflWaffles and co. completing it yesterday when the patch went live and the whole time was thinking "can I do it solo?" and here's my answer :D Gonna try it out soon

Cheers brother.. Was working on a full solo guide but my game crashed 4 times in a row.
Somehow got to this on my third zombies game, broke the four seals but almost died to the thirty thousand manglers, had 3 minutes left at the end thought i could win n see what was at the end and died as soon as i saw that large health bar.
Didn't even know that part of high ground is fine. I ran out of ammo and didn't see the cache because they decided to glitch out the minimap. Left the area to kill zombies to gather plates and ammo, came back and it was full health again.
You're a boss Caspahz! Just when I thought I was going to have to team up to get this done, it can be done solo... Although, it will take me ages to probably get this done solo.
Bro, I always love solo because I like to sit in peace and just play. Take time to prepare and don’t rush. I am playing all day to figure out more.

Nah dude, if you follow this guide you will be blown away at how easy it becomes. I've tried this solo using the cat walk/sentry turrets method twice and compared to this, the cat walk/ sentry turrets is so much harder. I was completely blown away at how easy this made it. One suggestion, though, is to use molotov's to keep him out of the ground. They work very well, and the resupply crate refills them aswell. As soon as you throw them anywhere on the beach, he pops out. They really are great for this. Anyways, you can easily solo it with this method. After doing multiple tries, this method made it literally 3 times easier. ✌️
Some tips for those attempting today: grenades or flash bangs thrown on the beach when the worm is burrowed will immediately cause him to come back up.
You can also shoot the lighter purple crystals seen everywhere on the map for random drops including armor and other equipment
I feel like gormgant is glitched. I went in with a triple packed legendary lmg, a backpack full of tacticals and lethals, a juggernaut, 3 self revives, and a tier 3 dog. The dog died on the way to the fight. I got there with about 15 minutes left. The juggernaut despawned because I was waiting to use it until he came out of the sand after I threw it down. I watched him swim around in the sand for 90% of the fight. And whenever he came up he would instantly throw out 6 orbs and go back under, or throw me up in the air and kill me instantly. This isn’t a bossfight, this is just straight bullshit. I would have timed out and died even if he didn’t end up killing me.
My advice to anyone doing this is to not even try it solo. Always go in with a squad.

This is the definitive guide for solo. I tried the "put down sentry turrets and get on the cat walk"and couldn't do enough damage. Tried twice. This guide, though, chefs kiss! Also, molotov's seem to be great for keeping him out the ground and the ammo crate refills all lethals so...yea. also also, i have found that tier 3 wall buy weapons, for some reason, are more powerful than a custom loadout weapon, even if you turn your loadout weapon legendary and triple pack a punch it.I know it sounds silly, but it's true as far as I have experienced, i have gone in with the holger lmg with best attachments and i compared my loadout version to the same gun i got one off the wall in tier 3 and it had just a barrel, sight, mag, and suppresser and it still out damaged my custom version. For me, the biggest issue with boss damage seemed to be range. If you are not within a certain range of the boss, you do wayyyy less damage, like just the diffrence between the cat walk and right behind the building range diffrence wise made me do much less damage. I had the scorcher to get around, made it a lot easier, until wormy downed me in mid air and I died instantly despite my 4 self revives 😅
I soloed this more than twice by staying at the top of that building. You just have to dodge the orbs and his laser. Good luck!
Best way to get him out of the ground is to throw a thermite onto the beach from up above.
Seee but what I don’t understand is when I see big CZcamsrs do things they have a turret at the top and they activate it but when I got in it wasn’t there and I had a full bag of self revives and one equipped I wasn’t able to use it he was 90% of the way killed and I died I was so mad
I recommend having the grenade launcher at least level 2 pap and blue rarity its really helpful with the rituals

Rituals are cake. Throw a monkey in front of each one. I found three monkeys killing enemies. Only thing that f*ed me was I had a gold mcw (wall buy) not the greatest PaP 3 and I couldn’t seem to cause enough damage even hitting his crits. Then the d*mn game crashed.
Use the golden vest and you won't have to equip so many armor plates I brought that and the Aeather Blade a dog level 3 pack a punch and won easy

Equip stuff you get from aether that unlocks after the mission. Sausage
@@SYOTOS1807 When me and friends did it we lost but then equip our gold items then we won easily. Now with the mags of holding equip we can keep firing without reloading as long we pick up ammo
@shadowspidey7327 what I'm saying is, you only get those items from the dark aether you gain access too once you've done this boss.
Some people who go solo don't have access to those things

Damn, I got impatient and was fighting him on the damn beach ha ha. I should of stayed by that building. Yeah those orbs are killer. Hoping you find some cheap way to kill him though 🤞

If you throw a grenade etc on the beach the worm will come to the surface eat it and get a bit of damage
Nice guide. Even on a full squad, turret parts and hellhound companions really help. I plan to run a solo attempt soon- will definitely be aiming for the worm's weak spots 😍

Maybe experimental grenades. I know it melted the worm the first time we vs it. Act 3. Wondering if it might have the same effect

I done solo. I used a zip line behind you to get high ground (on the fortress wall) grenade launcher best second weapon. Because force worm get out.
He stays stuck underground. Won't work. Shot the ground. Threw thermites. Won't resurface. Gained all his health back. Died to the storm.
lol where was this 12-14 hrs ago when i did it solo i always run solo. i definitely died on purpose with an alt operator i just made to learn the fight and his moves stayed alive as long as possible making a mental note on where everything is. then rocked it on my main operator but could have used this guide sooner lol

My tip to completing this solo- play to setup. I got 3 vest, large bag, and a juggernaut KS. Next game I was lucky and got a tier 3 PP crystal, loaded up on tier 3 contracts got my money up bought 2 sentry’s, managed to find 4 circuits for the turret and bought self revives and got the friendly hellhound to revive me when I got down. Fought that worm multiple times on the beach and lost every time so don’t go on the beach and try to fight that thing head on. Good luck solo players
Update: Just replayed it to do Easter egg solo and the turrets didn’t spawn In for me

Once he goes into the ground he never comes back out no matter what I do. Grenade launcher doesn’t work, gas grenades don’t work. It sucks! How do kill it when it won’t come out???

If I have golden armour (I got the schematic early) should I just hold as many self revives. I did not expect the end where you go up against Gorm’gant. I was fine survival wise, but after 15 mins I did only a quarter damage. Also does the turret do anything? Because I was trying to find a buy station or breaking aether crystals for a turret circuit.

Just got him to quarter health and then had him borrow for 2 minutes straight just to heal over half his HP needless to say I failed :/

I REPEAT DO NOT FIGHT IT LIKE A DUMBASS LIKE ME AND FIGHT IT IN THE BEACH. IT HAS A GRAB MOVE THAT WILL INSTA KILL/DOWM YOU. THAT'S HOW I DIED.

TBH it doesn't do too much compared to how fast you lose the jugg. Might be better off with a sentry KS seems to do small damage but over a longer time

Also take a friendly dog with you. And I reccomend going to the dark aether first with 6 man team to collect a golden armor plate. Every game I play I team up with 6 and it is easy as can get.
You have to beat this guy before you can access Golden Armorn Plates, Dog Bone, ect.

You can shoot the ground when he goes under to cause him to pop back up. He might get a few pips of health back but it won't be much
Bring a RGL grenade launcher, at least Pack A Punch tier 2 and Purple rarity. Also bring PHD Flopper.
I have a pack 3 and 5 turrets gunning at him and I do not that much damage, something is wrong….
Damage is capped i guess.

This game has so many bugs its not even worth playing, sometimes on console for me at least when you have stamina up n fist it fills like your normal running, n the orbs downed me 3 times in 10 sec

I had legendary pack 3 FJX with 6 self revives because the first time I tried this pack 2.
Heres what happened:
THE WORM EATS YOU EVERYTIME YOU REVIVE.
it was like a f'n chicken peckin at the ground. Even far it would eat you. If too far it go in ground...even if you touch the area to make it come out of ground and run up to street it eat you 2 secs later. I went through 6 self revives in 1 minute. I don't get it...the last time i fought it it did not do that i was able to battle it for 10 minutes with pack 2.....but soon as i go in with legendary equipment it acts like a chicken peckin at the ground every 5 seconds downing you......
Then I get a squad of 3 and they had pack 2 i had my last legendary......
SAME THING.
Then you look on youtube and it is like my pack 2 run where it is possible....
so far impossible.
Now I understand when folk text Help Worm in the chat.
Folks had it easy before season 3 super boss upgrade AI chicken peck mode...
maybe game glitchin out on me...
after all there are over 99 glitches in this game
so far this is impossible if this worm continues to glitch out in chicken peck mode.
To this day I've tried Jugger suit with all the meta builds pack 3 and same results....never been the same as that pack 2 run I had where it seemd possible....
What is the loot for killing this boss? I did it with a random and I was curious what I missed out on. Nothing I got seemed last boss worthy.

@@Favour390 I think you misunderstood the question. We finished the mission but he and I both ran in to get the loot. I was just curious what I missed, but from another video I watched I think I basically got the best stuff. Legendary tool, refined aethereum crystal, and the gold skull. He got most of the cash.

This strat does not work anymore as shooting the sand does nothing he will not come out of the sand unless you bump down making this entire strat kinda useless sadly
Nope, I always move down to the sand to bring the worm up. Sadly I don’t know of another way to get the worm up without taking damage
