Today I'm playing "The Fantastic Legend of Tohno" on piano! This is the Stage 2 Theme from Touhou 7 PCB. Lots and lots of nostalgia for this particular one. Reminds me of my early days of Touhou, when I would still play on Normal Mode and fail Chen's spellcards lol. Also, the difficulty of this piece is not to be underestimated! Some passages took a while to learn by ear.

cheeeeen, I really like this arrangement, which creates the effect of a constant revelation of the theme, especially the beginning when high tones play and are immediately complemented by low ones, and from this 0:55 to 1:48 of this part, the theme seems to sing with the vocal cords with a positive tone, and the end is the same fun ends I don’t know how old she is, but she blows of childhood and her attacks are active and colorful

nice touches of necrofantasia scattered throughout! i had to relisten to the original just to make sure it wasnt in there and i wasnt hallucinating hearing it here lmao. hoping all of the non-necrofantasia songs associated with the yakumos have a bit of necrofantasia mixed in somewhere in there when you get around to covering them. (just diao ye zong and charming domination left to go!)
I personally see Diao Ye Zong and Charming Domination as being the themes of the actual Ran and Chen, detached from their role as shikigamis, so it makes less sense for them to have elements of Necrofantasia

I played it a long time ago (almost three years ago I believe). It was actually the first Touhou piece I brought to the channel. However, the audio was not very good at the time and I feel like I didn't do it justice. I'm planning to remake it in the near future :)

(jokes aside, her survival spellcard can be easily cleared with the famous "square/box" strategy, I believe there are various Jaimers and Minogame videos that show how to do it)
(still, even with this strategy it's still pretty tricky yeah)
PCB has one of my favorite touhou OSTs in the series. Could you possibly do Paradise ~ Deep Mountain sometime? It's easily my favorite stage 1 theme by far.

Hmm...not really. The thing is, I'm kind of a perfectionist so If I'm recording a piece and I make a noticeable mistake I immediately delete it and try again lol never really thought about bloopers or outtakes
