    This video show you how to clean your softener dispenser in your washing machine.
    You should clean, at least, the softener dispenser every 4-6 weeks.
    My washing machine is a Samsung brand but this technique is good for most machines.
    Products used:
    - Baking Soda
    - Wash Cloth
    - Sponge on a Stick
    - White Vinegar
    - Scrubbing Brush

    I knew the part with the hole came out, but I didn’t know the little plastic stopper thing below that is removable, and it holds plenty of grime. You bet I’ll be removing that and scouring it right this minute!

    HI, nice presentation ! My dispenser doesn't take much softener liquid. I'm wondering if the "cap w/washer) part is dirty and won't let it go down much. I can put some in, and I try and put what the softener says, but not much goes in and it fills some to outside of the dispenser. OK, this is about as complicated as I want to go on a repair. lol. We'll see. Thank You !!!

    Thank you for this. I have the same model and the manual doesn't even show these pieces. I knew how to get the top off but I can't get the flat piece off (the one that is covered in blue and has the rubber ring). In fact, I was convinced it didn't come off until seeing your video. I added hot water but of course it just drains into the tub. I tried scraping along the sides. I don't want to pull too hard for fear of breaking the tabs on the top. Do you have any tricks to loosen it up? I have pulled very hard but there is no give.

    • @suzannedorman8945
      @suzannedorman8945 Před 2 lety +2

    Did u have mold in dispenser.

    • @DaniBTVsxm
      @DaniBTVsxm  Před 3 lety +4

      Not mold. It’s just old fabric softener. Water doesn’t go through this during the cycle so when the softener is released it leaves back some then it just kinda solidifies as stuff usually does. But it doesn’t get hard. It just gets thick. So the more and more you use it, the film gets thicker and that’s why it look gross. But it’s just fabric softener.
