Thanks for the refresher! They hid Link Sharing in Quick Share. I wondered where it went. It is a wonderful option and a Samsung exclusive I'm pretty sure. Take a nice 4K video and send it to someone to see the real video and not some horrible, compressed video by text.
link sharing is a beast. Ngl without it it would be a pain. Probably would have to manually upload it to google drive/drop box, create a link and have the other one figure out how to download it. With this its just one big download button. Crazy good.

Thanks for this! I was wondering what the heck this was for! It's frustrating to figure out how to turn off, though! You do it right in the text window. You just turn off the little cloud image prior to sending an image, and it won't quickshare.
Jimmy new subscriber..... but not the most tech person. My Samsung A53 clips 22 second video at 2 seconds when attached to text message or attached to Hotmail. It gets trimmed to 2 seconds. If I can get your presentation here to work will I get the complete video off the phone and be able to save it on my computer or other portable storage? Also at end of your video, where you closed out the ability to get access to the files, do they delete or take up space on your phone? Sorry for so many questions.
SO my question with this.....I have used the link sharing in the past for a video and the reciever was not able to play the video unless they downloaded it. WOUld not 0play from the cloud. ALso, is there a way where the recipiant can only view the shared material but not be able to download? if we dont want photo or video to go beyond that one recipiant.....I think private share will do that but obviosly thats only works with samsung devices
It's bad method why should we upload our private videos and photos to the could when the other device is close to us ...I tried to transfer some data from xiaomi nite 10 to samsung in a minute and through nearby devices everything done but when I tried to transfer the same data from samsung s 23 ultra to xiaomi I couldn't because It couldn't discover any devices 😏....I think after the updating the quick share the things went so bad done I was able to back up some apps with their own data but after updating to one Ui 6.0 I couldn't back up the same data of this app it backed up only the app
@Jimmy is Promo....so I sent a screenshot to my wife who has an iPhone via text and for the 1st time I saw that it sent it as a linkshare. Is this something new Samsung has changed when you're sending a photo to a device that isn't Samsung or maybe Android?
I'm on the opposite end of this. I want this function GONE !!!!! Trying to figure out how to completely disable and or remove it. I will never use it and do not want to EVER link my phone with another person ! Very frustrated. I just got a galaxy a53.
@@jimmyispromo Sorry, that was a moment of venting while trying to figure it out. I've had issues with a guest in my home trying to attach to my phone which is why I was frustrated. I appreciate the reply.

This was the only concern my wife had with going from iphone to samsung. In my opinion this looks like it works better than sharing through imessage.

I just noticed the same thing. There's another way to use 'copy link' option now. Click on qr and then on 'copy url' option.

You don't just have to copy link. You could share the files directly into a other app by selecting "share link using app".

Quick share transfer files only works on samsung only?

I don't know for sure. Maybe they can refine that process later? But it's easy to delete on their end as well for now I guess
All they have to do. Is click on the thumbnail then hit play... no need to download.
@@JRBowling1997 yes that's what they did but it didn't play so I ended up sending video via Google photos link which did work that way
I do this for music files when I buy it on my tablet and send it to my phone.
To bad microsoft doesn't adopt this. we're limited to bluetooth or Samsung flow.

Either it sends with wifi direct which is quick share, or if it's iPhone, it would have to be link. Apple doesn't have the tech to do wifi direct lol

What are "expired files" in the QuickShare Settings?
The files expire after a certain period of time. Mine is 2 days

You can't. It's stock. It's as essential as Bluetooth or wifi.
When I use wired Dex and someone tries to send me a File via QuickShare, I often can not get the File at first try.
