- This is the video footage of Peter Yarrow singing his own song "Day Is Done" as a tribute to Phil Ochs at the memorial concert at Felt Forum in NYC in 1976, a month after Phil's death. Half way through the song, he was joined onstage by other performers that night: Pete Seeger, Odetta, Len Chandler, Jim Glover, Jean Ray, Bob Gibson and Oscar Brand.
CZcams wouldn't allow me to upload very long videos, so I've uploaded the full show to another video website, Bilibili. You can watch it here: www.bilibili.c...
Absolutely emotional perfomance... Why is so underrated?
My husband, the love of my life and I met Peter at his book signing in Belfast, Maine. About 35 people in a small conference room. After we stayed and spent a while with Peter. What a truly kind and gentle man. I think Peter senses Mick didn't have much time left. As we were leaving Peter grabbed my hand and gave me a big hug and kiss and told me to keep my head up. A wonderful evening I will always remember.
Yarrow is an amazing man.
My condolences
One of the most moving songs ever
I listen to this song regularly as I've gone through a lot of struggles with anxiety, and this song reminds me to never give up hope.
Folk Music is my #1 favorite genre
The thing I admire most about Peter is his activism for peace
Thank You Peter!
These times are so far behind us now. I couldn't imagine anything like this taking place now.
Wow!
This was my next favourite song that the Young Folk learned and preformed at the competition held in Dartmouth NS, we had so much fun...it's amazing how these tunes survived the test of time!
Take my hand and I'll take yours... and all well... Sky
Len Chandler did a concert in my high school auditorium they gave the hippie contingent front row seats
What if this song (“Day is done" by Peter Yarrow) are also pay tribute to 9/11 ( September 11 , 2001) victims???
Love it hoping Bernie takes Super Tuesday by storm! 2020
