This 73 year old great grandma went down the BTS rabbit hole after watching MIC Drop. I immediately became a member of ARMY .
They don’t have a song with Bruno Mars but RM has a song with Anderson Paak called Still Life! Anderson also played the drums for one of their live performances! Also you got the “guy with the purple hair” right the first time. He’s the one in the front in the middle in the blue (his name is Jungkook), RM is the one dressed in Yellow with the hat and glasses on the far right (he has blue hair in this mv) and the guy in the back that you thought was the “guy with the purple hair” is Jimin. Don't for my bias, 'V' who is the only baritone (soulful, jazzy, husky voice) he is the one with the dark hair and sunglasses looking cool. There is also Jhope and Suga in the group, the group consist of 7 members + A.R.M.Y (Fans are called this) and you should check out Butter where the are wearing suits of different colours. Just to be clear, BTS were selling out stadiums like Rose Bowl, Soldier Field, Met Life, Wembley back in 2018, two and a half years before Dynamite was released. They had already been to the AMA's, on SNL, and selling millions of albums. Plenty of mainstream regular people like me already knew about them before Dynamite

There are some Introduction to BTS videos out there that tells about each member, names, skills, etc.-worth a look just to become familiar with all 7. It IS confusing because they come at you with different color hair (often), lol, so it takes some practice to get to know who is who. RM (Kim Namjoon, is the group "leader, JK/JungKook (who you are referring to as purple hair), is main vocalist, Suga and J Hope are the other two rappers (along with RM), V (Kim Taehyung) has the deeper, velvety voice-but he can hit falsettos too!) and Jin and Jimin (highest/lightest tone) are the remaining vocal line.

The reason we don't comment their English Pop songs, is because many people watch their songs and put them in the "Boy Band - Pop Music" category, which is not representative of who they are. Their English songs they didn't write, except the rap parts in Butter. But this song Dynamite got BTS their first #1 on Billboard Hot 100, and their first Grammy nomination.

Uhm, while it is true that BTS exploded exponentially after Dynamite, it is not the first song that made them popular in the US. They were popular enough to sell out stadiums 50,000-60,000 seats multiple nights in the US before dynamite.

Yes, they even headlined the KCon in 2014, did very well with their concerts in the US 2015-2016 that's why they were invited to perform DNA in the AMA's and had their first BB award in 2017.

please lower the music or increase your mic volume in editing I have to turn up my speakers to hear you speak cause it's quiet. And then my ears get blasted with loud music 😂
