Stan actually won Australian Idol in 2009. Stan is a walking miracle too. He had a rare form of stomach cancer and had to have his stomach removed. This changed his whole outlook on life and when he sings 'I Surrender' which he wrote that's what he did. this song is his 'Thank you to Jesus'. I can't help but be moved each time I hear it. Thanks you so much for your lovely reaction guys.

Well Stan Walker is one of the best voice of Polynesia. He is Maori, New Zealand n he is doing amazingly. This version is so spiritual n soothing n I am always emotional everytime I'm listening to it.

Glad you guys found Stan Walker! I was following IAM Tongi with you guys. I am Hawaiian, moved to New Zealand 24 years ago, so followed Stans journey to winning Australian Idol years ago.
There is a video on CZcams that chronicles his battle with cancer due to a genetic abnormality in his family. I would highly recommend you watch that. Its will make you appreciate him even more. 💖🤙

I was so excited to see you took the dive and picked Stan Walker's video and I absolutely love your reaction. When you have discovered something so profound, uplifting and amazing, you just want to share with the world. His voice is truly anointed. I knew you would not be disappointed, and you are exactly right Mike, you can never judge a book by its cover. Stan won the Australian Idol in 2009 and did blow away the judges. I can't wait for you to react to Ultralight Beam which is a Kanye West cover. It's amazing his range especially knowing his stomach was removed due to cancer. Stan Walker is a Māori from Aotearoa (New Zealand). He also wrote "I Surrender" when he was 17. Him & his family all moved to Australia when Stan was a young boy of 9 years - fast forward to 18 years he went on to win Australian Idol.
In this video he overcame stomach cancer.
Stan was born in Melbourne Australia, he is Māori with roots in Aotearoa but he’s a mozzie (Māori but Australian born)

Stan is blessed and we love him here in New Zealand. He is proud of his country, culture, religion and ancestry and demonstrates that in everything he does. I highly recommend reacting to all of his colabs with 'The Levites' (the band) and 'The Standard' (the trio backup singers) 😉👍🇦🇺

Michael Buble said on the show that "God kissed his throat". His story is he had a very tough childhood and his Idol journey changed his pathway. Youll learn more about him im sure.

Birth in Melbourne then at 3 months family moved to New Zealand where he was raised. He has ties in both countries but he is Maori and proud NZer...with dual citizenship. Enjoy your day

We watched the entire documentary and loved every minute of it! We will definitely be fans of Stan for life. He has such an incredible story and talent
I just bought his book this weekend and I’m almost done with it. His story is both heartbreaking and so awesome due the miraculous way God healed his heart. Now I feel like I listen to his amazing Grace with new eyes. I weep everytime. God definitely has a purpose for him.
