How to Know You Are Going to Heaven

Gospel:
First, you must must accept you are a sinner. Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.”
Second, you must recognize there is a price for your sins. Romans 6:23a “For the wages of sin is death…”
Third, you must accept that Jesus paid the price for your sins. Romans 5:8 “But God commendeth his love towards us, and that why were you were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
Fourth, you must accept by faith the salvation Jesus gave to us. Romans 10:9-10, 13 “ That if thou shall confess with my mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
Dear Jesus, I know I am a sinner, and I deserve to pay my own debt, but I do believe that You died for me to pay the debt that I owe. Today, the best I know how, I trust You as my Savior. I will depend on You from this moment on for my salvation. Now help me to live for You and to be a good Christian. Amen.
John 3:16 “ For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

Hebrews 5:9 says we must obey Jesus to have salvation. I believe not only that Jesus died and rose from the dead but also that we must obey what Jesus says to be saved. God bless you too!
they "obey him" part you are referring to is the obeying his call to salvation not obey him to keep you saved. read Romans 10:9-10 and in the same verse you referenced "eternal salvation" means just that, he is the author or creator of eternal salvation for the people believe in/on Jesus' work on the cross not our work.
@angelmd43 He does call us to obey in the manner of our salvation. For example, we can’t get saved by giving money to the church, but we have to call on Jesus as our only Savior (obeying the direction of how we should be saved). Titus 3:5 says, “Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;”
Obeying the good works does not give us salvation, but you are right that we most obey (by faith) the way to get saved 🤍📚

What Jesus said is talking about the call of salvation, answering the call, and how we are to live after salvation. We must heed to the call of salvation and be saved by grace through faith. Jesus is talking about building ourselves on Him. Saved people obey Christ to build a solid foundation versus building on the world and having a shaky foundation. No matter the outcome, I am grateful that you have brought this up;this has made and great discussion. 🤍📚
