    • @TheFishCorner
      @TheFishCorner  Před rokem

      So sorry for the late reply. I’m playing catch-up! And you can definitely keep the coral beauty in a 37 gallon long term. They don’t grow that big and don’t require a lot of swim space, all fish could benefit from more space but a 37g is adequate for a coral beauty. I put black window film on the back of the aquarium. I think black works really well with saltwater aquariums. If you have any more questions, don’t hesitate to ask. Let me know how it goes! 🤞🏾

    • @TheFishCorner
      @TheFishCorner  Před 3 lety +1

      Thank you for your comment Bro! And the answer to that question is yes and no. The marble wrasse will grow to 11in one day… the coral beauty does better within a larger aquarium long term but if all these fish are small, you certainly can. I definitely plan on upgrading these guys again… probably to a 75 gallon… just so I can have a larger reef tank. They’re currently in a 37 gallon and they could potentially stay in here long term if they had to.
      I would recommend starting off with a 20gallon. You can have quite a few fish in there if set up right. Clownfish, cardinals, damsels, goby, dwarf lion fish, blenny, and the cleanup crew. Just have plenty of live rock so all can coexist successfully.

    I’m gonna be frank, all that stuff you dosed in tank will eventually cause a imbalance in that eco system. It will cause imbalance in good bacterIa. It can take months or years to resolve. I understand that you have a feel of how much to dose everyday but I will say that it will eventually take a turn. You can’t see it now because you don’t have enough coral to give you the hint. Corals need stability to thrive. Those frags that died is because of the blind dosing. Rule #1 in reefing is never dose what you don’t test for. Something a retail store will never tell you.
    Save your money on these dosing products. My advise would be is that a weekly or biweekly water change is the way tho go. Look for a good salt to use. A good salt already has minor and major trace elements. Ditch the dosing products. That’s all you need to be safe than sorry down the road. That purple stuff you’re dosing is nothing but added calcium. And you’re already blinding dosing calcium with a Kent product. Calcium and alk need to be dosed at a balanced ratio to keep hard corals thriving. It’s to complex to explain on here but just know that water changes is all you need for now. Don’t fall for store advise. They just want to sell us stuff. You remind me of me when I started. I learned the hard way. You’re fish look nice and healthy. I spot feed my fish once a day. Making sure I don’t overfeed when will cause issues as well. I have a protein skimmer which I don’t even run most of the time because I stripped out all my nutrients causing dinos. What a nightmare. I using a dosing pump of alk and cal because I have a lot of lps coral. . And a simple water change.
