Success: Adding value to you
Significance: Adding value to others
Significance includes success.
Success does NOT always include significance.
Your hard work is nothing without the “why.”
Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. (James 2:17 NKJV)
If works are pointed at the wrong target, they are also
dead
Success without significance is empty and unfulfilling
Remove Self-Limiting Beliefs:
I’m poor
o …God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy. (1 Timothy 6:17 NKJV)
 I’m behind
o And the Lord will make you the head and not the tail; you shall be
above only, and not be beneath, if you heed the commandments of
the Lord your God, which I command you today, and are careful to
observe them. (Deuteronomy 28:13 NKJV)
I don’t have the right pedigree
o …remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you power to get
wealth. (Deuteronomy 8:18 NKJV)
Significance is in your DNA when you become a believer.
Sometimes we limit what God wants to do for what we can
do.
You serve an unlimited God who wants to use you to change
the world.
Eliminate Self-Limiting Beliefs: We have got to force ourselves outside of ourselves.
The enemy always tries to pervert what God created.
After they had heard the king, they went on their way, and the star they had seen when it rose went ahead of them until it stopped over the place where the child was. 10 When they saw the star, they were overjoyed. 11 On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures
and presented him with gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh. (Matthew 2:9-11 NIV)
Lessons from the wise men:
Our Heart
o And having been warned in a dream not to go back to Herod, they
returned to their country by another route. (Matthew 2:12 NIV)
Our Time
Our Resources
God speaks to people that cannot be swayed.
Poverty Mentality: A fear that you will never have enough.
If God is in control of it, you benefit.
The flow of blessing into our life has a direct connection to the flow of blessing out of our life.
Our goal: Hear from God and follow that direction.
Break Self-Limiting Beliefs:
Heart - Convince ourselves with the Word of God
Time - Step out by faith and sow our gift to someone
else
Resources - Follow what God says
