I got married on may 10th 2019. This was the song that I chose to be our first dance. My wife was the person who introduced me to Fairy Tail and I couldn't have picked a more magical song to make this day one I will never forget. We had about 70 people at our wedding and my wife and I were the only ones who knew the meaning of it. Regardless of not a single person knowing Japanese language, It was still the most amazing song I could have picked for such a special and memorable day. Here's to all the Fairy tail fans in the world!. Live life to the fullest, be happy and take care of those you love and always be there for them no matter what!
Update: (December 12th 2020). I never expected my post to have any replies, let alone 80 with over 2k thumbs up. I would like to provide all of you with an update on our life. Our marriage is going great and my wife and I are going to be having our first child in February . We are having a girl and have decided to name her Mavis!
Update: (January 21 2022). I can't believe I am still getting responses after posting back in 2019, thank you so much to everyone who has left a touching/warm hearted message. I really appreciate you all taking the time and I hope you have all been safe/well over the years. My family and I are doing great. My little Mavis will be a year old next month!. It's amazing how fast time flies! My wife and I aren't sure if we plan on having more kids in the future, but if we do. We have decided that if its a girl, we will name her "Wendy" and if it's a boy we will name him "Laxus". Well everyone that's it for now. This community here is the most loving/caring group of people out there and you should all be super proud! Please take care of each other during this crazy pandemic and never give up no matter how hard things get!
Update: (June 23 2024) We just had our second child last night. It was another girl who we decided to name Wendy :). I can't wait for my girls to grow up so I can show them where they got their names!

I love Gray so much. The visuals in this song are amazing and show all his problems, he’s such a deep character. His events with Ur and Lyon and his competitiveness. Abandoning everyone like Lucy and Natsu popping up in between to know what’s wrong but nobody but Gray actually knows his backstory and the weight of his problems, except maybe Lyon. It’s so deep, as he walks down that path alone, so philosophical. Officially my fave character. Love You Fullbuster!

Gray's tragic backstory, including with his own Father, is kept to himself and is never shared with the other characters, except for Makarov, but that was probably more out of obligatory introduction. I never noticed this before. Man, I wish Lyon got better over all screen time now since no one else, except Ur can share this pain he lives with.

It's literally impossible not to get in your feels remembering what happened with Jellal and Erza while listening to this. To this day it remains as my favorite FT ending.

Fairy Tail was really special to me, even though people said it relied on the “power of friendship” too much, each character went through a ton and it quickly made fairy tail one of my favorite animes. It’s a shame it’s popularity has fallen since, perhaps it doesn’t really fit the nowadays type of anime vibe. People are missing out not watching ft!

Every ending songs that the director took is based on every character's backstory and path. I respect that. By far, most beautiful anime ever from all those nudity and dirty jokes, there are deeper meanings in this anime. Where family, friendship and true love are formed.

I feel Ur's backstory isnt talked about enough. This is her song but fans talk about Gruvia. I love Gruvia, but give Ur some love. She took this kid who was filled with darkness, and dispersed his darkness. Thats not an easy thing to do

And then I remember that I can't, because the screen separating Fiore from Earth won't break. "Aishiteru" is on a whole different level. It truly means "I love you". It's only used when you truly love a person deeply and you truly mean it. It means real, committed and everlasting love. The word itself is no joke.
I think it's nice how Japan revers the word "Aishiteru". You rarely hear it on every day conversations and songs. 😄

The whole point he's trying to get at is your family, whether related by bonds or blood, is the most important thing in your life and anything can be overcome with them at your side. Because of this, and also not letting depressing moments last too long throughout the series, he doesn't want it to be viewed as a tragedy and is keeping it in a positive light. At least that's what I think.

This song is about JERZA. They were on the cover of the CD for this song. The anime staff even made a Jerza AMV out of this song (search Be As One arc memories). Juvia didn't even appear in this arc, and Gray never showed these kinds of feeling towards Juvia, he was only ever annoyed with her. Go away, delusional Gruvia shippers!
I remember watching this anime after coming home from school, now I'm an employee and work full day ...
I listened to this song and I teared up because it's so moving and great. I play this whenever I think about my 2 loving grandfathers ( The other grandfather is my step grandfather ) who passed away long ago. I didn't know them much but what I do know is that they loved me because they were happy they had a grandson. They passed away when I was 5 or 6 years old.
