      For what I know, there's at least 2 or 3 buildings left to be built. And well maybe there are more coming but I'm talking about the ones who are gonna be tall like very tall. 2 names that I remember for now is one called "The Republic" and the other (I think it doesn't has an official name yet) but it's know for now as "6th × Guadalupe" so yeah imagine until 2029 ufff the future NYC

    • @andrewrodriguez8010
      @andrewrodriguez8010 Před 5 lety +14

      And these 2 skyscrapers that I mentioned are even gonna be taller than "The Independent" which we all know that for now is the tallest

      It's more important to focus on metro area population than city population, because Austin has a much larger city limits than cities such as San Francisco. With that, Austin's metro population is 2,168,000 , making it the 30th largest metro population in the US, compared to 4,729,000 and 12th for San Francisco

    The 2021 Austin skyline video should be uploaded in a day or so, have to do some final edits. I am also creating a video with a few wider views, so will be adding an additional video of different views then the standard one I have taken over the years. The weather has caused the delay this year but it was filmed on 3-2-2021. Will make a compilation video once I have time! Thanks!

      Because SA has an annoying provincial "Not In My Back Yard" attitude and half the people here are mired in the "Good Ol' Days" and never want to see anything change. The HDRC has fought against progress and has limited the heights and designs of skyscrapers so many times that many developers simply leave or cancel their projects. The Grand Hyatt was supposed to be a 50 story tower but was reduced to 34 floors to pacify certain interests groups who are frightened by large towers.

      they shoulduv let the austonian building be their only tallest standing building.....they messed up the skyline a lil bit with that other tall building .....see when the austonian was the tallest, austin skyline had its own unique look but with that 2nd tall building it almost looks like the houston skyline because in houston we got 2 tall buildings around the same height ...but they can fix the austin skyline and make it unique again if they throw another tall building in between the 2 other tall ones.....

      Come to Rochester NY. We haven't grown in 40 years! But, we have plenty of taxes(way more than you) plenty of crime(way more than you) and our restaurants close due to low revenue, broken windows and overdosed junkies laying dead in the back doorway. Also, if you enjoy snow, hate the sun and want rain every weekend, then Rochester is perfect.
      There is a reason that Austin is growing. You are very fortunate to be there.
