Goodluck to every family members of yours.. Cause android has a shorter life than iOS.. Android has 2-3 years of android updates while iOS has 6-7 years. Even the iPhone X that came out in 2017 is still supported, while the s9 which came out in 2018 is stuck at android 10.. Forever.

@@BettyJohnsTV13 it really depends on what you buy, if you went for budget one the yes, the lifespan sucks, else high end model last for very long time, my dad have a Huawei mate 20 before the ban, still looks like the day he bought it, the budget one that I gotten last 1.5 years (nova 3i)

Also, all Google services work with Android 5 and up, only a few demanding games require Android 7 and up.
Android 10 is still perfectly usable, and no problem with it.

This same thing used to happen to me when my daughter was married to my Korean son in law who was a software engineer. He always get the most updated phone and then give the one he had to my daughter and then my daughter would give me the one that she had. But then it turned out he was gay and they got divorced so now I have to buy my own phone. I actually have a newer phone than she does because she doesn’t seem to really care how updated her phone is. I just always am looking for a better camera to take pictures of the moon. I just want a camera on a phone to take a picture of the moon the way it actually looks with my own eyes or better.
