Multi-Threading on an art quilt
In this video, I’ll show you the art quilt I am currently working on. I am using multiple threads running through the needle at the same time. I talk about needle size, stitch length, and how to thread the machine.
Wow! You’re so talented! Beautiful artwork. Thank you for sharing your beautiful work.
How very beautiful! I love the texture you're achieving. Cant wait to see your finished work.
Wow Valorie, just so fascinating! I really never thought about this level of long-arming! Bravo 👏 🎉
Beautiful work! Thank you for the in depth description of the process. I always use a thread net when I use Glide because it tends to fall off the cone and get caught on the spindle. I used 2 threads to make chicken feet on a recent quilt. It turned out great. Never would have thought of doing it if I hadn't seen your previous video. Thanks again!!

I use thread nets when I have only one spool. When multi-threading the nets can add too much tension so the cup alternative is preferred in this use.
@@ValerieGreenwellQuiltArtistry Makes total sense!!
Beautiful! Thanks so much for the solo cup tip. My thread was breaking last night for that very reason and it's very frustrating. I can't wait to give this a try.

I should add the solo cups were a quick fix. For a more permanent soloing I’m thinking of adding a hard plastic cup and drilling a hole in the bottom to fit it over the spool pins.
@@ValerieGreenwellQuiltArtistry Thanks Valerie! I'm want to try a triple thread also. So much fun, so little time... God Bless!!
