- democracynow.org - As Democracy Now! continues to mark the 50th anniversary of the assassination of Malcolm X, we are joined by his daughter, Ilyasah Shabazz, and friend, A. Peter Bailey. Both were inside the Audubon Ballroom on Feb. 21, 1965, the day Malcolm X was shot dead. Shabazz was just two years old, while Bailey was among the last people to speak with Malcolm X that day. Shabazz is a community organizer, motivational speaker and author of several books, including the young adult-themed "X: A Novel" and a memoir, "Growing Up X." Bailey is a journalist, author and lecturer who helped Malcolm X found the Organization of Afro-American Unity and served as one of the pallbearers at his funeral. Bailey is the author of several books, including "Witnessing Brother Malcolm X, The Master Teacher." Shabazz and Bailey discuss the circumstances surrounding Malcolm X's killing and share personal reflections on his life and legacy.

I LOVE how Peter Bailey made it a point to mention that it was NOT just the Nation of Islam that wanted Malcolm dead, that the federal government did as well.

REAL AMERICAN HERO OF TRUTH - MALCOLM X
Brother Malcolm 💕
Amy put some respect on that brotha's name, it's Mr. or Sir. Yeah I caught that and for anybody who don't like it well I said what I said.
is this guy afraid to remind of the head snake's (the "honorable"/envious elijah m.) womanizing of young girls?
They got mad at Malcolm for speaking on that, and for being above that- for having a rightly aimed prick; for being a prince with no shadow.
always always throw Girls under the bus.
# FREE Julian ASSANGE and Edward Snowden and others!!!!
She's definitely the biggest chip from her father's block. Much more articulate than her other sisters. Shame she abandoned Islamic hayah 😢
