The older I get, the more fascinated with history I become. Was so glad to be able to find such a short and concise video that was not only easily digestible, but also super entertaining. Made it super easy to understand exactly why, and how they went about things. Thank you !
You are so kind! Thank you for your note and I’m thrilled that you enjoyed the video! I truly love making each and every one of them. :)
Spoiler Alert : History ALWAYS reveals the future of basic human atrocities. Old locks never open new 🚪 doors
Now we’re getting taxed to cover the U.S $31 trillion in debt. Is this what you were insinuating?
Modern human civilization has little to no experience with scarcity of resources. We may turn to these ways again someday.
Shut up Meg
@@kevinarevalo4747i feel like it would be moreso talking about how the us who became independent due to overrule from an ocean away are now oppressing hawaii, aswell as the northern mariana islands and guam, both deep in the pacific. all the while the latter two get absolutely no vote in federal laws despite having populations affected by those federal laws. Not just that, but hawaii is actually native land belonging to a once sovereign nation who were part of the commonwealth until america took it over and colonized it as a military base. (which is now overtaken by over tourism and rich people making it hard for natives to live their lives) - what i am saying is that we are now oppressing nations from an ocean away, just like how the british oppressed us 250 years ago from an ocean away.

Thank you! You are so kind! ☺️
@@PursuitofHistory here's the truth taxes had nothing to do with it .Washington like others recieved a letter from king George , "No more encroachment on native lands" This is the fact that started it , the tea taxes were the smoke screen, washington was nothing but a land grabber
Compared to today. Gas up 8 dollars a gallon and we do NOTHING. MEN of today are cowards.

Those fishes on the ocean where they dumped the tea are now british speaking creatures rofl
As an American, born and raised, I'm convinced most of us drink coffee instead of tea-because we threw it all into the harbor.
Basically they threw the tea in the water because of the taxes they don't want to be taxed on the tea.
“1million dollars in today’s currency” is WILD when you realize what minimum wage was back then, and by minimum i mean, lowest anyone would pay, not todays term as in what they HAD to pay,
I’m wondering why the patriots dressed up like American Indians? That’s the first time I’ve ever heard that.
Partly to psyche themselves up, but probably mostly to hide their identities. Despite being one of the three largest cities in the original English colonies, Boston in the 1770s still only had a population of about 15,000 people. It wasn't quite so small that everyone in town knew everyone else, but it wasn't much larger than that, and many of the local troublemakers already had a reputation. Painting their faces made them difficult to identify, or at least gave sympathetic witnesses an excuse to claim in court they couldn't see who it was. It wasn't to try to pin the blame on the natives, that would defeat the point of the protest. Plus the few remaining tribes lived far from Boston and had no reason to dump tea in the ocean.

Thank you! :)
Who here because of the Alabama tea party? 😂
I thought this was a new switch game
Nice tea puns
I’m a descendent of one of the ‘native Americans’ that took part in this.
I have a question why was the colonist mad?
The colonists were mad because they finally wanted to be an own country and giving them more taxes, is quite literally the opposite of giving them free
@@PabloGonzalez-wc3nm oh thanks!
@@PabloGonzalez-wc3nm just like todays taxes 😅
@@hardhitter5099 There are no men like in this video anymore, sadly.
@@kevinarevalo4747 I know. It really is sad, I agree
This one girl in college was trying to tell me that BLM is doing the same thing as the Boston tea party did. Should we feel the same about both ?
Yay 1 billion dollar less tea
I like tea hot or cold 🙂
Leberty kids made worse version of this

AY YO HOW IS SHE TALKING IF SHE HAS NO MOUTH
Nice video but you missed out an important fact. The Americans were losing badly and asked France for help. The French won the American war of independence for you.
Bullshit 😂, that’s like saying Russia won WW2.
