Ingredients:
1½ cups (260g) quinoa
3 cups (720ml) water
1 carrot
1 zucchini
1 onion
2 garlic cloves, crushed
1/4 bunch parsley
4 eggs, beaten
1/2 teaspoon + 1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
2 tablespoons + 3 tablespoons olive oil
Directions:
1. Rinse the quinoa under cool water, until the water comes out transparent. Put rinsed quinoa in a medium saucepan. Add water, 1/2 teaspoon salt and bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes until the quinoa is fluffy. Remove from heat and let stand, covered, for 5 minutes. Fluff with a fork. Let cool. Transfer to a large bowl.
2. Finely chop the onion, grate zucchini and carrot. Chop fresh parsley.
3. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add chopped onion and sauté for 3-4 minutes. Add crushed garlic, grated zucchini and carrot. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally for 7-8 minutes.
4. To the bowl with cooked quinoa and the cooked vegetables, 1/2 tsp salt, black pepper and chopped parsley. Mix until well combined.
5. With your hands, shape patties from the mixture.
6. In a large pan with olive oil. Fry the patties for 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown. Transfer to a paper towel. - Jak na to + styl
Made one change: I despise zucchini so I shredded a potato instead. I also added scallions because I'm just a scallion guy, and it is AWESOME. Definitely being added to my regular recipes.
Was planning to make that exact change!!! Bring the potatoe!
I started watching this video for the recipe, got distracted by the music and now I'm playing my guitar.
😂
i love this 😂
I started watching this video for the recipe, got distracted by this comment and now I'm not watching the video nor I am playing the guitar but laughing. I had to then rewatch the video again 😁

I just tried making this recipe and o myyy goooood the were amazing. Thank you!
WOW! I love quinoa, so cant wait to get home to make that! Thank you!
I added about 2-4 tbsp of flour to make the patties easier to mold. Then I fried them over medium (5) for 3 minutes each side. OH MY GOSH, delicious!!! These are going to be great with sour cream.
What side dish did you eat them with??
Thanks for this wonderful recepie 👏🏻👏🏻

Looks like a fun and easy recipe. Sort of like a zucchini fritter but even more nutritious, I’ll for sure be trying this out
Omg!!! These turned out Amazing, i hurt myself. Thank you sooooo much i followed it to the point almost added an extra half if salt...BUT I REALLY DIDN'T NEED TO THE BATTER TASTED 👍
Okay! You have convinced me hahahah! I'm in! I have all these things at home already. Thank you!
Thanks for your fine chef skills! love it!
looks simple and delicious!
Very tasty and super easy! Thanks for the recipe!
Adjustments and Notes:
1. If your using large or extra large eggs use only two eggs.
2. Squeeze juice from carrots and zucchini before cooking
3. This recipe is really bland so I use one tablespoon of lemon pepper with a little bit of ground chipotle pepper, plus salt. (I may try it with a little mustard and or dill next batch).
4. I chose to air fry mine; not as crispy, but it works and is healthier.
Thanks so much for the lovely recipe!!
I would add garlic powder and onion powder too
What i did was make a quick stir-fry using this very tasty base using onions & roasted peppers with some mushrooms. Delicious!!!
Quite an explanatory recipe video! Loved the way all the technical parts of the recipe are illustrated! Thank you for sharing this recipe! I made this recipe using the true elements quinoa and made this for my family as my father is fond of tikkas! Do make this for your family and friends!
These are delicious thank you
Thankyou for sharing I will try this some time.

I tried this recipe yesterday and it was amazing! Thanks for your recipe 😋
Great recipe. But what’s the alternative for egg. Also I’ve tried the same recipe with cous cous instead for a burger. Tastes great
Looks so good
wonderful recepie
Great! One of my favorite recipes now.
ABCD is Awesome, Beautiful, Colorful and Delicious. Great job thx for sharing.
Excellent presentation. The ingredients, the step-by-step process, all with a pleasant musical background, and finally the eye-appealing ready-to-serve results motivates a cook to try this healthy and tasty dish.
Beverly Nelson well?
My god you just introduced me to a tasty quinoa dish ! #greatful
Thank you! This is part of tonight's dinner! I already have everything named in the ingredients in my fridge! 🤗
Can I put it in a tray as one layer in oven instead of frying??
I just made them and they were beyond delicious. One tip I have: store them in the fridge for at least 4 hours, otherwise they will break during turning upside down.
Worked for me...my daughter who hates veggies loved them as well!
Thanks for this
Good .can freeze and use when needed .specially at tea time thanks
Glad I found this recipe.. trying quinoa fr the first time and made this pattie which turned out so yummy... I added boiled potato which gave good binding...
I made it and it tastes too gud. My kids love it. I used corn flour instead of eggs and did shallow fry with little amount oil. Thanks fir sharing recipe
Thank you, nice idea!
how many tbsp?
Thanks for the corn flour idea, was looking for a replacement for the eggs😁
Ah I wish I had read comments! Cornflour way better idea than eggs. Mixture turned out so runny and even adding bread crumbs couldn't save it! Most is now in the bin ☹
i think you can bake them or broil them that will be good to
That looks good
Update . I made this today .. very nice 👍 I only used 2 eggs and instead of having to cook the onions beforehand I put in chopped red onions and garlic granules 👍Had to use breadcrumbs though to thicken up the mixture to make the patties . I didn’t strain the zucchini so I should’ve done that .I also put nutritional yeast flakes in there 👍
I wanna try this thank you
Omg I have all the ingredients in my kitchen now I’m about to try this 😋
How did they come out?
Wow, so glad I came across this - thank you
ça a l'air délicieux, merci pour la recette

I made these, to my surprise they tasted great (with a sourcream dill sauce). Will definitely make again but probably with one less egg and a little more onion:)
Best burger that I ever had. It taste amazing with bananas. Thank you for sharing💖
how much banana did you use instead of egg, how does banana work as an egg replacement? and did you eat them by themselves or with sometihng?
ZenOn235 ... I did the same thing. Pulled out my ukulele and played along as best I could. That’s a great little tune!
Quite an Interesting recipe, I will definately try it with my true elements quinoa. will let you know how it turns out! thanks for sharing.❤

Très bonne idée merci 😊 ❤️🌹❤️🌹❤️🌹❤️🌹❤️
Nice! I recently made salmon patties and we made hamburgers with them. Me too, i mixed the mushed salmon with zucchini and carrot. We cooked the salmon with a little bit of water in the pan. I only wanted the salmon to cook and not be fried.
The hamburgers turned out great!
Thank you for fantastic inspiration!! ❤❤❤ I love love making patties and burgers. Maybe i should try doing it with quinoa, just like you did. ❤
Thanks for the recipe!

Wow super easy This is really awesome recipe. I would highly recommend it to all my friends and family. Thanks for sharing it. I tried making this as I wanted to eat something healthy and it turns out perfect. I used True Elements Quinoa as they are a clean label food brand in India which makes 100% natural wholegrain food and they are absolutely tasty. You can also use them for this recipe!
I made these but with flax eggs to make them vegan . I ended up adding some flour to thicken up the mix to mold it into patties, but I think that’s just because I’m so bad at cooking grains, so the quinoa wasn’t as dry as it should have been. Delicious 😋
You can add a pinch of salt to the grated veg (before frying), sit this over a seive/colander over the sink and squeeze out the excess water after 10 or so minutes. This extra step will help the resulting fritters/patties turn out crispier.
Great recipe! I was wondering, will it work if i bake them instead of frying maybe? Thanks!
The recipe is really interesting, it looks tasty and easy to make, and very healthy. I have added quinoa to my diet recently with True Elements Quinoa and it is really nice and yummy! I'd definitely love to try this recipe, looks really yumm. Thanks for sharing :)
I have been searching for an hour to find a nice recipe with quinoa. That's it, I found it! :) Thank you, this looks amazing. I also do not eat eggs and am not really skillful with bananas nor chia seeds as replacements, so I will try to bake them in the oven. Hope it will not be too dry.
OK, I tried to fry them without eggs, I just added a tablespoon of flour and half a tablespoon of bread crumbs to the mixture (those who avoid gluten can add chickpeas flour. I think it can work just fine. I did not have a spatula and I handled them with a fork and my frying pan was not good so they were sticking and that's why they decomposed a little and the final presentation was not excellent, but the taste still was awesome. I put the other half of them in the oven, so I will be able to compare the results.
As another person mentioned some chickpea/gram flour with a tablespoon of water or so will help bind the ingredients without the need for adding eggs and has the added bonus of being wonderful source protein and is good for you. Another trick is to add aquafaba (some of the liquid found around the chickpeas in tinned chickpeas) and /or adding cornflour or coconut flour. Corn flour is great for thickening mixtures and coconut flour is great at sucking up any moisture (there will be a lot from the veg) in any recipe. Coconut flour is so moisture-absorbing that you literally will only need a tablespoon or two in a whole recipe. Another trick is to use a can of any beans (drain & rinse first), but I find any white canned bean such as butter beans or cannellini beans mashed are good and also will up your protein intake as well as being a useful binder. Hope this helps!
Wow very healthy recipe 😋
Nice.
They look delicious 😋 Thanks for sharing 👏👏👏 I’m thinking of piece of mozzarella (or any cheese that melts easily) in the middle,so it oozes out when you cut into it! Mmmmm can’t wait to try the recipe!
You could also grate a little halloumi cheese and add this to the quinoa/veg mixture as halloumi stays firm while frying. I often use that to add some protein & extra flavour to vegetable patties/cutlets. A little crumbled Wensleydale cheese or feta cheese both work well too (if adding these you may need to add a few breadcrumbs as feta contains a lot of moisture in it. If you are on a vegan diet or are making them for a vegan a few tablespoons of nutritional yeast will add a pleasant savoury cheese flavour and is a good source of vitamin b12 for them.
Very very nice recipe
great
I love this recipe and it looks amazing.. but just wondering; do you just eat this as a meal on its own, pair it up with something, or make it into a burger? Thanks!
Eat it however u want , I recommend making a burger with some avocada and this patty
Watched again and realized I forgot to cook the veggies...BUT they still turned out perfect!
Just finished my quinoa... I’m totally going to improvise with a bag of frozen veggies and cilantro 😉 thanks!
Oh yes... I used frozen mixed veggies and added baked chicken breasts and cheese perfect for the self quarantine season 🤷🏾♀️
I'm definitely making this often lol

It sounds delicious ! Can we bake them and not fry them ?
