Came here to comment the same stuff. MPJ, man your videos helped a lot while preparing for my FE interviews. I owe my career to you and all other amazing creators and teachers. Welcome back and have a happy journey!
I found myself doing the same. Probably looked every 6-12mo since MPJ left to see if there was something anything. Owe a lot to him for getting me over some of the hurdles of learning more complex concepts early on in my CZcams University education. So excited for this.
MPJ is one of those, who inspired me to start my own CZcams channel about Angular. Now I am at nearly 50k followers. Thank you and happy to see you back, MPJ! Good luck 🚀❤️
The happiness that I felt in my heart when I saw the notification for Fun Fun Functions was unmatched, and helped me dissolve the scar left from the pain when I watched you say you were leaving youTube. Developers and near-developers are now going to get to experience MPJ like I did. You JS videos are the reason that I got excited to use JS more, and to really understand it. Welcome back you wonderful person.
Man, I became married, Polish immigrant, and an Alpaca, after all these years. I don't remember if I ever wrote a comment here but I've been subscribed all this time, just waiting for this day. What a time!
@@Killyspudful Yes I identify as an Alpaca :D But jokes aside, the backstory how this came to be is really complicated for a single comment to contain. I might do a blog post somewhere in the future. Michigan TypeScript might not exist if it wasn't for the influence Fun Fun Function has on many of us producing videos. VERY excited to hear this!! You paved the way!
I owe my whole life to this man and Colt Steele. Without them I would be exactly where I was 5 years ago. I've got love for ya man, thanks for returning!
Three years ago i started programming, FFF was one of the youtube channels that helped me a lot. I remember when mpj decided to stop the youtube thing i really felt bad that day. i kept telling my friends about how great this channel is and how mpj is such crazy monday morning guy with a beautiful accent. It brings me a lot of nostalgia to see him back.
My Data Development Dude, it's such a pleasure to see you return! You were a huge resource for me learning to program years ago. Now I am a Senior Software Engineer working in London and guess what? I am ALSO going in a data-centric direction in my career haha! It's like I am truly following in your footsteps, so excited to see what you have to share. Thank you deeply for being yourself and sharing your journey, you are an inspiration to me. I still remember your message years ago when you struggled alongside moving house: "Focus on doing one thing a day". That got me through some hard times too. Amazing how many meaningful things we can do when we're happy and how many we lose sight of when we're sad. Such is life, economies boom and bust, good times come and go, all we can do is strap along for the ride and do breathing exercises :D
Hey 👋 I need to say something too! I'm still around. I think a lot about your channel. You made a video about something quite sad I said and that helped so much that I can say I have a very different life. I took new challenges, moved abroad for a while and now I have a baby too! I was empty and demotivated and your kind words were the strength I need to come back swinging! Thank you MPJ. ❤
I'm so excited that mpj decided to do it specially with Travis also coming back to DevTips it's great to see the old school guys who walked us through this amazing journey Welcom back ❤❤❤
Oh my gosh! You're back, what a delight!!! You helped me learn JavaScript and learn it really well. You are a gifted teacher, thank heavens for ADHD (my boy has that)! One of your great traits is your genuine desire to bring the uninitiated to where you are. By contrast, a sad characteristics of Stack Overflow is its mean streak that persecutes the initiated and downvotes the unlearned. I wonder if that's rooted in pride but you have this beautiful humility that welcomes those who don't know, and how the world needs that.
This is so exciting! I’ve always looked up to you as an inspiration for my own CZcams creator journey and you’re so spot on about the new direction of software developers towards data engineering. Count me in for the ride!
MPJ, you've set foundation in my knowledge that set me on a path to ultimately find a dream job I'm at and drive to constantly learn more - thank you, and welcome back! Can't wait. Love - Dave 💛
Seven years ago, as I was beginning my journey in software development, I discovered your channel, and it was incredibly helpful! Two weeks ago, I started preparing for technical interviews and revisited your channel after a long time, feeling a bit sad to see that there hadn't been any new content. But today, I found this video and was thrilled to see that you're back! Can't wait to learn more things from you :)
Oh thank god you are back!! You have set the bar for how technical videos should be done. I really hope you like this because honestly...you are the best at it.
Haha, awesome! You helped me get my first job as a software developer more than 6 years ago. I have also been a Data Scientist and a Data Engineer in the meantime. So welcome back!
Welcome back!!! I'm very excited to see you back in CZcams! I first arrived in your channel around 2017, when my career was changing from java to NodeJS... And funny enough, now I'm just learning ML and DL. What are the odds?!?! 😅
This channel was incredibly important for me in the early years of my career! While I am much stronger as an experienced developer these days I'm happy to see it come back for the next generation of programmers! :)
MPJ! Great to have you back. Your work was super helpful and influential for me when I moved to the SF Bay in 2018 to break into tech - I went from writing my first line of code to getting my job as a software engineer in 8 months and when things were really hard to grasp, your videos kept me on path! I also recently had my own hiatus and am in the process of returning to the industry now - its so cool that you're coming back at about the same time as I! Can't wait to see your new content and quirky enthusiasm. Would LOVE to see a remake of that hilarious intro you used to play with coffee getting everywhere, I absolutely loved that.
HELLOOOO!! (my attempt at imitating your opening of the MAP video) 😄 Good to see you back, man! Best notification I got today. Guess that's my reward for never unsubscribing. (Has it been three years already? Damn!)
Poetry feels like writing code. You're reusing individual concepts you've learned along the way (words, synonyms, flows, commands, keywords...) to create something net new (songs, rhymes, functions...). Great to have you back!!
Welcome back ! So nice to hear from you and find out that the channel is back!!! Even my wife (who isn't in tech at whole) loved your channel and was happy to learn the news.
I randomly got that feeling in my head today, you know, the one that goes "that one guy that quit so long ago - maybe I should check to see if they came back after so long" and lo and behold, I only missed your return by 1 month!
I’ve been checking your channel occasionally, hoping to see it active again, even if I wasn’t really expecting it. I often wondered how you're doing and what you were up to these days. This Saturday morning, as I enjoyed my porridge and coffee, I turned on CZcams and saw FFF on my front page. No way! Welcome back!
I’m so glad to see you back on CZcams, I think I needed this more than ever. I started studying programming with js, enjoyed your videos a lot, then tried many things, now I work as java dev, thinking about switching back to js, also I enjoy data visualization a lot, I’m sure your videos will be useful for me. Staying tuned, finally waiting for the next Monday morning!
I'm so glad I stayed subscribed. I've missed your sage advice. I also hope you're on top of the metal health issues you discussed three years ago. Good for you! Welcome back!
I was genuinely sitting there a couple of days ago and for some reason this channel popped into my head. I came here and found a new video. Synchronicity. Edit: lol got to the end, and the late diagnosis. Same!
I'm so excited! I only discovered FFF once you took your hiatus and love your teaching style. Super eager to learn more about data science and statistics in particular!
This channel had such a wonderfully positive impact on my career when I started out in development. I think it may be time to jump back in. So glad to see you again MPJ!!

What great timing. Your vids really got me into learning over 4 years ago. I thought I'm imagining it, but you reminded me of MPJ somehow!
Now I know where to go back in time..
fff.dev is running Solid only because of you
