  • Mobile (AL) Police Chief James H. Barber explains that citizens can expect police officers to follow the guidelines but also asks citizens to help keep encounters with police safe. “This program outlines how both police officers and citizens should behave to show mutual respect, keep the people involved in the interaction safe and keep the community safe,” said Barber.

Don't let this video fool you.
"Tell officers your name and address." - The 4th Amendment protects you from "Stop and ID". The police officer has to have reasonable and articulate suspicion that you have or about to commit a crime. Suspicious behavior isn't a crime either. So, it isn't true to show your ID when a police officer asks for it, that's Nazi Germany " Papers please".
"Answer questions truthfully" - Sure if you answer. The 5th Amendment allows you not to testify against yourself.
"Comply with officers instructions." - They have to lawful instructions within the Constitution of the US. City ordnance doesn't trump state Constitution, as well as state laws don't trump the US constitution.
But everything else they tell you is 100% correct.
Have you, the Mobile Police Department, retrained Srg. Frost about these rights of the people ?

You don't earn respect for having lunch at school with a student. Or rescuing a cat out of a tree or helping a lady load her groceries into her car. You earn it by remembering your oath. Stop thinking or telling yourself that your either a cop, or criminal. Or telling yourselves that you fight what we fear. Or, you don't believe anything you hear and only half of what you see. The uniform don't make the man!...The man makes the uniform!!!.... One thing I know will help...stop working on commission.....! Thank you. Be Good and safe. Let's take care of one another...

The expectation of this police department that entering a house is just a normal thing in which the owner has just to agree with that, is strange.

They referenced the situation of a domestic dispute not just officer saying he needs to go in your home.
