- Wes Anderson is probably gonna win an Oscar for best live action short and I'm conflicted about it.

To be honest, his IMDb page showing 8 Oscar nominations is far more impressive than it showing 1 Oscar win.
I’m sure he’d love a little gold man though
@@ConorsMovieList oh of course, but as it is having 8 Oscar nominations is not such a bad thing. It’d be much more apt when he wins an Oscar for his directing a live action film & a stop motion animation for which he is far more known for than his short films.

OHHH MY GOODNESS, THIS AGE VERY WELL
I agree so much with everything you're saying. Wes Anderson is one of my favorite directors, but this category seems weird for his work.
I sincerely believe that it has been an attempt by the academy to give more visibility to a category that the majority of the public does not usually care about.
If they had chosen Almodovar's short film, instead of The After, it would have been more exciting, and the fact that Wes Anderson didn't participate in the promotion, nor attending the gala, didn't help either. In short, I am in favor that this category, as well as the main categories, should host established filmmakers, along with lesser known filmmakers, so that in the future it will have more relevance.
Very very true.
Omg, I totally see your point, but I'm actually really happy Wes Anderson won the Oscar. I'm happy for him, that he finally got his very first Oscar after years in the industry.😊☺️But yes, I do have to admit, he probably did "steal" it from a lesser-known filmmaker whose career needed it WAY more than his, lol.😅
Red, White and Blue was soooooooooooo good
Only because "The After" is thin and corny in its study of grief.
Now watch the Academy use this crumb of a win as their excuse to ignore all of Wes Anderson's feature-length work from now on. 😡😡😡
He basically bought his oscar with the stacked cast for his short...
I'm not a Wes Anderson fan, but my friend is. He's ecstatic for Anderson to win, but I'm not and I totally agree with you
Anderson is the famous, big bully director that muscled his way into the Short Film Oscar nomination and stole the spotlight from someone less known
I don’t think Wes Anderson is a villain in any sense but yeah it feels off. Thanks for watching!
I agree with this video but you need to chill out.
Wes Anderson did not participate in the promotion, nor did he attend the gala, it was a Netflix thing.
