Saw him in New Orleans in August! Amazinggg! My son bought tickets for me for Mothers Day and we went. It was his first time seeing John, my third but he was blown away!
Probably the best song he’s ever written. I dunno. The final 3 lines make me feel every broken heart I’ve ever delivered or received. It feels as though it’s us... embodied by him...... I guess.... what I’m trying to say is... thank you.

This song is so beautiful live, even more so than the studio album. Felt like I was floating in the clouds.
Two things I noticed:
1.) This was either the first song of the encore, or he came out after the encore to play this (probably for personal reasons that are none of anyone's business). Either way, he had to walk off the stage immediately after.
2.) 2:55 - When he says he struggles with this one, he isn't kidding. Such an awesome moment for people who have followed and grown to care about this guy.

Seeing him grow through the years and putting his experiences and emotions out to the world through his lyrics and interviews, the moment at 2:55 sure puts everything into perspective and you can't help but shed a tear for this beautiful human being.

Hard to imagine this being about Katy Perry; she's kinda regarded as being pretty shallow, and I think it would be hard for an artist with the intellectual depth of John Mayer to find himself that deeply drawn to her.

She didn’t actually leave, they decided to broke up because they couldn’t work together even though they deeply loved each other, Katy was asked after their breakup if John was a revenge romance towards her ex husband and she said “Absolutely not, I was deeply in love with him, I’m still deeply in love with him”. Also, John explained that even though they broke up they still loved each other so much that some Sunday nights she used to send him just an emoji of a wave 🌊 as a way to tell him that it was hard to stay apart and she still loved him, and he replied with another emoji of a wave as a way to say he got that and it was the same for him, so well... they loved each other but they couldn’t work :(
