except palpatine was never MEANT to come back; read the original George Lucas books about the New Republic era...Darth Sidious never existed after he died in Episode 6. Disney changed that and the only reason palpatien came back in THEIR version was for two reasons...firstly they think he is way stronger than he is (and Palpatine isn't even that strong compared to most Sith Lords..his power lies in manipulation primarily). Secondly they needed him to justify the story of Ray being a Palpatine. in George Lucas' books the eventual plot was far more complex; Han had three kids; twin boy and girl and a rebellious son. the rebel son grew to see that both light and dark were bad...because Boba Fett taught him that people caught in the crossfire of war were the real victims. meanwhiel the twins grew to emobdy dark and light...the girl was eventually forced to kill her brother to stop him becoming the new Sith/ Vader/ Sidious stereotype
The first giveaway to Han being back was his car builder from Tokyo Drift showing up with the rocket car. Hopefully we get more characters back from that film as well.

I think one of them remarked at the initial watch and the trailer was just getting so outlandish that they disregarded it. Must’ve been the jet grabbing the mustang out of midair

Don’t know never really saw td has a sequel more of a spin off like re7 should of been.
I've seen the 2001, 2003, 2006, 2011 and the 2015 one. That's it though. I think I've seen the 2009 one too. I was most excited to see fast five. This one doesn't look good to me just my opinion. Franchise you've ended a while back.

The looks on both Andy, Barrett and Tim’s faces... Kevin’s hysterical cackle in the background of the car doing totally unnecessary unbelievable yet freaking amazing awesomeness by flying in the air while hanging from a chain (Just another day in the Fast universe)... Dom and Letty not reacting to it at all and Nick being the voice of reason behind it... FEEL THE LOVE!!!... Han enters... Greg screams like his d*** got chopped off with Andy, Barrett and Tim all losing their shit... Blessing having a delayed reaction to it, still eating his chips THEN celebrating... all while Nick still being the voice of reason going HOW?!! and pointing out that’s why Shaw was able to go to the BBQ... Greg having goosebumps... Kevin, Andy, Tim and Barrett losing their s*** and Kevin complaining about no one crying over Han.

as seen in F6 or 7? when Dom jumps on the bridge to grab Letty from the tank as it flips and land on the car, they're both fine, and in this trailer Letty lands on a car and is fine, Han Got hit while IN a car, so its like a big pillow, he is fine

Haven't seen a Fast movie since Tokyo Drift, but I'm watching this!
I am starting to think that han’s crew from Tokyo will be joining the team as well. Also notice in the end han is driving the same type of car that he had his accident in at the end of Tokyo drift.
It’s not the same type of car. Just the color scheme is similar. First one was a RX-7 and this is the new Toyota Supra
One of hans crew member is back though. The one who built the rocket Pontiac is the same mechanic from Tokyo drift.

This series used to be so close to reality. I thought they jumped the shark with ejection seats and running over police cruisers with trucks. It was more of a dogfish. Car drives through house. Cars drive through Earth wall. 30 minute plane takeoff. Jumping building to building in a car. Racing a nuclear submarine. This franchise now only wants to jump bigger sharks.
