      galohe hi basically what i do to audio equipment is remove mediocre parts . and relpace them
      then build much better power supplies

      so how do you build a better power supply? or is there a good aftermarket one

      galohe the power supplies that come with the pre is a rubbish plug in the wall switch mode.i use a large toroidal transformer & schottckty diodes.also decoupling and noise reduction after market power supplies can cost £250 i can build one for £120

      that's fantastic. i just wish i had the skills to build one. the power is 12v ac or dc? the power adapter didn't specify.

      galohe 12 volts ac for the phono stage 12v dc for most dacs except the Cambridge audio dacmagic
