- My review of the surprisingly great sequel and what was the perfect way to end the franchise, Rambo(2008) starring Sylvester Stallone, Julie Benz, Matthew Marsden, Paul Schulze, Graham McTavish, Tim Kang, Rey Gallegos, Jake La Botz, and Maung Maung Khin.
Directed by Sylvester Stallone.

Love this fantastic sequel, an epic way to end the franchise
I think there’s one more film after this one

The fifth movie was not necessary as this was the true final
This was such a surprisingly good sequel when it came out, and Mike, i don't know did you seen this one in theaters, but let me tell you, that final action scene was insane to watch for the first time, specially with other people, either in theaters or at home. I don't mind Last Blood, but between choosing this to be the final film or that one, i would choose this one. Last Blood did had much, much better scripts originally, but for some reason, Sly went and re-wrote almost entire story and removed lot of the good stuff that was in the scripts. Can you believe that we could have seen Rambo using explosive arrows again in that film? Man, i can't tell you how disappointed i was after watching Last Blood for the first time, and seeing how much it was changed from Matt Cirulnick's script, which i really liked. Btw Mike, check out Kiramid Head's episode about Rambo 4, he talked in details about rejected script for this film which was later re-written by Sly and others into Last Blood.
I enjoy Last Blood but hearing that makes me sad still like the film
What a great and surprisingly bloody sequel
An amazing review for what was the swan song for Rambo and his story arc. Quite gruesome, crowdpleasing, and absolutely entertaining all at once. It even has my favorite quote from the whole entire franchise.
The Ultimate Bad-Ass Fourth Installment filled with Non-Stop Total Carnage and Brutal Fights. Definitely the perfect way to end the "Rambo" franchise. Stallone at his 60s at the time really showed how to kicked ass right there!
This film is insanely violent I love it.
Just like war. It's fitting.

As violent as other war films like Saving Private Ryan, Starship Troopers, 1917, Hacksaw Ridge and more eh?
@@Johnlindsey289 I've seen bits of hacksaw ridge from reactions but not the whole film.
This movie still has one of the best third finales ever. The action in this movie is so epic and satisfying IMO and that's why its my second favorite film in the franchise.
Dang. These reviews have made me wanna binge watch all the Rambo movies esp this one and part 3 !
The only issue I have with this movie is that the CGI is terrible. Other than that I love this movie
I can’t believe it’s already 14 years old,time is speeding up!
like the film but it had a TV movie feel to it,it didn’t feel ‘cinematic’ like say Dredd does if that makes sense.I can’t explain it,maybe to do with the editing.
Nevertheless it’s very entertaining and I appreciate it went full blooded with the action.I thought Stallone as Rambo was really excellent - as good as the first 3 movies. Also love the characters of the mercenaries.
Overall a worthy Rambo movie. That’s four in a row!
Pity the fifth one has had poor reviews I think l’ll give it a miss,I mean why spoil it?
I've seen people on CZcams who only seem to only like the finale and not much else about the movie but I disagree. I love the entire movie from beginning to end. Even when there's no action I enjoy Rambo's dialogue. Rambo's lines in this movie are just as memorable as his lines in the previous installments. "Live for nothing or die for something" is a line that sticks with you. This movie is the true ending to the Rambo saga imo
The story ended here
This is a great and entertaining movie
If I had one criticism or 1 nitpick it would be Stallone doesnt gets lots of hand to hand combat/fighting. He was really old at this point and I expected that he wouldnt do much action and they used the mercenaries and the 50 caliber scene to make up for lack of 1 man army Stallone running around from the previous movies
I was ok with not much hand to hand fighting. Rambo at this time is more like a tank. He has limited movement due to age and has to rely upon brute force more often than not.
@@OcpCommunications Yeah Stallone was old and less mobile so I accepted it. The next movie he did even less I think.
The next movie was pathetic.
@@OcpCommunications sadly I saw last blood in theatres I did buy the blu-ray and gave it a second chance like I did the others and well nothing changed it's boring it definitely won't hold up it's like a family drama rather than an action film didn't need to be made 4 ended it he should've stayed home at the end of 4 honestly.
I wish I'd watched this in theaters. The DVD I saw took out the violence
2nd best Rambo next to part 1
